Taco Universe at Black Creek

I am silent celiac so unlikely to show signs from cross contamination. But on a trip from SE Michigan to traverse city we needed a lunch stop and I took a gamble based off the few reviews on this app. So glad we did- the food was great and authentic, and I loved being able to have chips from a safe fryer especially because the salsas were so fresh and good. The owner was the only one there due to off-season but it was worth being patient. Very casual and unassuming atmosphere- I would never have chanced it without the GF app calling it out.

How would you rate the taste and quality of the gluten-free food you tried?

— Excellent

Have been here twice. Both times the food was fantastic. Was told that the owners daughter has Celiac as well as some family members of the other workers. Both times I was there, the person working the counter was extremely knowledgeable about celiac and made extra sure I was comfortable with their food and prep practices.

All the tacos are naturally gluten free and are amazing. Authentic Mexican street tacos style. I have eaten here many times without getting sick.
