I love this place! 90% of the menu is gluten free and they’re very good with cross contamination. Never had a problem!

So many choices! We mostly tried things we have eaten at other Mexican restaurants, just so we could compare. Hubby (celiac) and I (wheat allergy) ordere guacamole and enchiladas (red for him, green for me). We also ordered fried yuca - something we never had before.
The fried yuca was excellent. I’m not sure how it was supposed to be, but it was good - like thick steak-cut fries. The chili aioli it came with was good, too. The guacamole was fresh - not made table side, but definitely homemade. Both styles of enchiladas were tasty - a little spicy, but in a good way (enough to taste the chiles but not so much your taste buds were burnt).
We couldn’t decide on what margaritas we wanted so we decided to go with the seasonal special, an apple pie margarita. Wise choice - different but really good.
We will definitely put this on our list of places we go to regularly.

Outside eating on a beautiful spring Sunday to start.
The menu is a Celiacs Dream. All the GF’s was like a prize!
I ate off the appetizer menu to have mix of options.
I’m full. I’m happy. Time a nap in the sun.

This is my new favorite place!!! I’ve eaten here four times and I love it more every time that I go. The best part is that while there are tons of gf choices, they will also make dairy free enchiladas!!! The chicken is to die for. Highly recommend!!!

I have dined here several times with no issues. Have been reassured each time I visit that nothing flour goes in the fryer so the fried foods and chips are safe from cross contamination.

Have only had takeout mahi tacos but have never gotten sick.

Food was great. So nice to have a menu show what you cannot have instead of what you can have!

I ate here last night, which was the first time since my diagnosis. I had tortilla chips (they're corn and always have been), the empanadas and Al Pastor tacos. I also had the Pyrat Punch. Everything was delicious and other than being very stuffed, I had no issues. Their menu is also marked with what is NOT gluten free, as most of their food is gluten free.

I enjoyed many meals here. One of my favorites!!

Great dinner with family and no reaction by my celiac son. He had chips and guacamole, and carne asada tacos. We had shrimp fajitas, a chicken chimichanga and a salad - all very good. Waitress was very knowledgeable too.

Amazing food. So many options. My fave place

Good size menu with a nice selection of GF offerings, standard Mexican fare, very flavorful. No X-contamination issues. Fun atmosphere.

This place is so good! Everything on the menu is gf, except 3-4 items. There's a disclaimer printed at the bottom. Not sure what happened with the 1st reviewer, but I've never had an issue. I always ask about ingredients, so maybe that's why. Service can be a little slow at times, so that's why no 5th star.
I love tacos el tio! Food is fantastic! Chips are corn tortillas. Majority of their menu is gluten free. Portions are decent. Ceviche is to die for! And margaritas rock.
Just like any other restaurant you may have to be cautious of cross contamination so make sure your server knows.
This is not a gluten friendly restaurant. I had a hard time just finding out if the tortilla chips were corn or flour (or a mix). The waitress was completely clueless as to gluten or non-gluten. I was quite worried that I was going to be "glutened" Usually Mexican restaurants are relatively easy for me to go to. Not the case here. FYI the chips are flour tortillas and they don't have ANY corn tortilla chips. Only SOFT corn tortillas. So don't expect to chow down on any guacamole and chips.
