Delicious food and the waiters are usually always really competent in regards to what is gluten free and what is not

I never leave reviews buy I enjoyed the service here so much I feel obligated to leave a review. First off our server (Shane) was so competent in what dishes were gluten free or can be gluten free. And if he was uncertain he expressed it. The restaurant was so accommodating in making dishes gf. If the ingredients are made to be gf, they were still DELICIOUS!!! Overall really great service/experience.

I ordered sushi for pick up and notified the person I was ordering from that I have a gluten allergy. They weren’t sure if anything on the menu was gluten free and read the ingredient list to me instead of checking with the kitchen. Gluten free was written all over the receipt in red letters but when I asked to confirm if the soy sauce they gave me was gluten free they said no it wasn’t. I didn’t get sick from the sushi but I stayed away from the sauce even after they changed it out. I would return, but I would triple check the order and have the server ask the kitchen as well!
The staff was so attentive! The manager came and spoke to us, went through every ingredient in our order. Our special sushi rolls were absolutely delicious, they had gluten free soy sauce (tamari) for us, and had several dessert offerings (that we passed on but sounded great!) as well. I’m definitely going to be coming back here again in the future!
Yes
GF sushi and soy sauce, but servers knowledge hasn’t been consistent during my visits.
Taka was my first restaurant experience eating gluten free. Although this review is being given in May, I went to the restaurant in March. I asked the server about the tempora rolls and if they were made with rice or wheat flour. The waiter said rice flour so I ordered a shrimp tempura roll. It was so good, we ordered another one. When we walked out, I said to my boyfriend, "I know I had gluten." I felt bloated and stuffed and hadn't felt like that after eating gluten-free for 3 weeks. The next day I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager. She informed me that yes, they do indeed use wheat flour on their tempura. She apologized and assured me that the wait staff are trained on modifications for the rolls. She sent me a $25 gift certificate to come back to Taka again. I surely will.

Been here several times and was happy w the service and knowledge level of staff each time. Even if the person was unsure, he/she knew who to ask to make sure I was safe!
I came here due to recommendations that there were GF options and knowledgable wait staff. The waitress was probably just about as bad as you can get. She said, well I guess you can't eat anything here. I made her speak with the chef and she was pissed. Ended up not confidently eating the ginger pork, which was tasty, but felt was taking a risk. Our party enjoyed the meal, but not gluten free friendly. Terrible wait staff.
Only gf fish options.

Very impressed with the knowledge of my waiter, Benjamin and the availability of gluten free tamari! Benjamin also steered me to the safe menu options, plus altered items that I wanted so that they would be gluten free. Great experience!!

They don't have a dedicated menu but the servers and staff are all very knowledgable. Had no problems with the sushi ordered, they told me what I could and couldn't have and everything we had was delicious!
