Great place stop for a break, and chance go get a great bite to eat. The menu in person has small purple dots denoting what is GF.
They were super busy all day when I visited, so the person at the cash register taking orders let me know that the dedicated fryer might've accidently had cross contact. So I got the grilled chicken, green beans with mushrooms, and slaw.

The gluten free options are clearly labeled on the menu and they even have gluten free desserts. I got the marinated chicken breast, with local mushrooms and fries. The chicken was kind of bland but the mushrooms were amazing and went well with the chicken. I also shared a tasty dessert of chocolate torte with berries that was very tasty. I did not have any gluten symptoms after the meal.

The best rest stop food I've ever had! I got a Greek salad and fries(dedicated fryer) with no reaction!! The dressing was delicious! They took precautions with my meal and wrote "celiac" on my reciept. The Tamarack also has clean bathrooms, lots of brochures of things to do in the area, and many items for sale from local artisans! The online menu is not marked, but in-person it is.

Gluten free options on menu. Had chicken salad and grapes. Gluten free fries in dedicated fryer. Inexpensive and good.

They did have a few things marked as GF on the main menu. (Which I was unable to find online). We ended up ordering a pre made container of chicken salad, with grapes on the side; that was enough for our lunch.

The company providing food has changed. The only things on the menu that are gluten-free are a grilled chicken breast with sides or a veggie platter. There are maybe 6 sides to choose from. Very disappointed.

Wow! I was surprised that all menu items were clearly labeled with allergen including gluten free. I was able to speak with the executive chef who walked through every item I was interested in as well as personally fixed my food and plate. I will continue to stop here when traveling this way.

This was wonderful. Gluten free bread and French fries
Not celiac safe. This is a cafeteria style diner. Heavy cross contamination.

Staff stopped to review the options available and offered to customize dished for me as well! Very friendly!
We called ahead and talked directly to the chef, Jamie, he said to ask for him and he would make us something fresh and safe. So, we did what he said and he made us a delicious gf pan fried trout that was amazing. We also had green beans, kale, and red skin potatoes. Was fabulous and affordable. Great experience and no one got sick! 👍🏼
