Oh my gosh! This meal was delicious and I didn’t get sick. It’s a fun ambiance inside. I shared the crab cakes over fried spinach for an appetizer. (Next time I’m getting that for my entree). Then I had the side spring salad accompanied with the duck breast, more spinach and a few potato gnocchi. Everything was SO good. The waitress and her trainee were both very attentive and either answered all my questions or got them answered by the chef. My husband and I finished by sharing the flourless chocolate cake. I can’t wait to visit Fairhope again next spring if for no other reason than to eat at Tamara’s!

This restaurant ROCKS!! The gluten free items are labeled as such on the menu. They had gluten free appetizers AND dessert too. Sunday brunch offers even more options including bottomless bloody marys and champagne. The atmosphere just made the place absolutely perfect! I had a bun less burger and gluten free sweet potato fries. My husband had the shrimp and grits, which were also gluten free. It is a great place to go and feel included and not like an afterthought.

Ate there today- and the food was quite delicious which usually happens when it is full of gluten. 😡 We informed staff of celiac and were told much of the menu was gf. “The crab cakes are GF! They are only lightly breaded” huh? We asked how that could be and the waitress said - i dont know but they are! So to be safe we skipped anything questionable and my son ordered a plain burger on the GF bun. He remarked that the bun didnt seem GF- and she assured us that it was. Well- He has been doubled up and miserable ever since. Thanks for ruining our day and maybe our week!

Given the rest of the reviews, I think perhaps we came on an "off" day. The crab cakes and fried spinach were indeed absolutely delicious. However, our server was not at all knowledgeable. I informed her right away that I needed gf for medical reasons. The entrees come with sides, but when I inquired of her (and she inquired of the kitchen) if any were gluten free, she said only the mixed vegetables & salad was. She then asked me which side I might want (??!). When she brought the salad, it had croutons. She was quick to take it back, but none of the dressings were gf except the oil & vinegar, which were deposited on the table in two very dirty carafes. The bottle of oil looked to have black mold growing on the bottom inside. Needless to say, I didn't eat the salad. I was very disappointed given the other reviews, but we will not make the drive back across the bay, even for the amazing crab cakes & fried spinach.

I ate at Tamara's Sunday and was so happy!! Gluten free crab cakes and BBQ shrimp were fabulous! I took an order of crab cakes home with me and enjoyed them for lunch the next day. The only improvement I could suggest is have some g/f bread to serve with the BBQ shrimp, that sauce is so yummy...gotta have bread to soak it up!! I will be back regularly, definitely worth the drive from Mobile.

The food was AMAZING! I got the crab cakes entree, which is gluten free, and I wish I lived here so I could eat here all the time! I am a VERY sensitive celiac, and had zero problems!

Had a delicious lunch. The crabcakes over fried spinach were AMAZING. Id probably get that as an entree next time instead of sharing! We both had the bunless portobello burger, which needed a little more flavor in my opinion, but safe none the less. GF items we clearly marked on the menu and they had fresh fish as a dinner special option that I would be willing to go back at try.

What a great place! The food was great!! I ordered Fresh Lump Crab Cake for an appetizer, Stuffed French Cut Pork Chop for my main meal, and for dessert Flourless Chocolate Cake. The waitress was very helpful and knowledgeable. It was a good experience and would go back again.

What a treat of a restaurant. Too much to choose from which, as you know, is a rarity.I had the oysters Rockefeller followed by bacon wrapped chicken breast stuffed with asparagus and I *think* gouda cheese. Served over risotto and a cream sauce. Amazing.Great wine and drink menu and the staff was super friendly and didn't make me feel like others do when asking for gluten free.
