MAJOR fuckup at Tangerine. I was very clear that I had celiac, she wrote it down and repeated it back to me as “gluten free celiac.”
They bring me a full plate of pancakes and I eat two large bites. Five minutes later, she comes back with fear on her face and says “I’m not sure those are gluten free.”
Behind her, a terrified waitress in training came over with the biggest look of fear in her eyes, holding a new plate of pancakes.
Obviously it was the kitchens fault, but our waitress left to cry because she felt so bad and the manager came over crying. And I was like…I will not be saying it’s fine or that I forgive you bc in a hour I will be in Profound Suffering. They did comp our entire four person meal, but, you know, cancer risk. Not equal weight.
So yeah, wanted to let everyone know. It was the location in Longmont but it makes me nervous about the company-wide training policies.

I like the Boulder location so was pleased to find them in Longmont too. Same great food - love their seasonal dishes. I have such a hard time deciding what to order here, I want it all.

NOT Celiac friendly! Their gluten free food is not gluten free. I was sick for two days after eating a meal that was supposed to be gluten free.

I had my first eggs Benedict since celiac diagnosis. It was so good. The waitress took extra steps to look up the chai tea brand they use. Not GF. She was very knowledgeable. They have fresh squeezed orange juice. We all enjoyed our brunch here and I am the only celiac.
