🌾🚫 GF Items: The rice and beans (also vegan!) are naturally gluten free.

The carne asada has no gluten containing ingredients, it’s cooked on a separate grill and chopped in a designated area away from other gluten containing items.

The corn tortillas as naturally gluten free, but are at high risk of cross contamination based on being heated up and prepared in a shared area with flour tortillas.

Items to avoid: Anything fried (shared frier) or with red sauce such as enchiladas, chilaquiles, red chile beef, pollo colorado, etc. (The red sauce contains flour as a thickener.)

🌱 There is a vegan/vegetarian portion of the menu with a variety of great options!

💠The young gentlemen at the counter was very knowledgeable about gluten free and food allergies in general. He was so informative about all ingredients and what items were the safest based on the least possible cross contamination issues. He also informed the kitchen to prepare my order separately from our other orders that contained gluten. Absolutely stellar service!

💠 I’m very happy to report that I had no reaction from my meal! Although my meal couldn’t be guaranteed free from cross contamination, they took every effort possible to make it safe for me to enjoy.

* This place is wonderful, but it can be a roll of the dice for info depending on whose working the counter. I went again while in Tucson and didn’t feel comfortable eating this time around due to lack of gluten free knowledge. The older gentleman at the counter tried to sell me on the vegan options and was under the impression that vegan and gluten free were interchangeable. While there’s great vegan options, they weren’t necessarily gluten free.
