I’ve eaten at the one in Briar Creek numerous times and love it. This was my first visit to Cary. I’ve only ever ordered sushi. They have a well marked GF menu and use a clean space to roll the sushi when I tell them I have celiac. They have gf soy sauce and the sushi has always been delicious.

I told the server I had a gluten allergy, them ordered the Chirashi Don. He said, “Great, that one is already gluten free.” He said it confidently, and told me I could have the salad with Ranch but no miso soup. Sounded promising. The salad arrived with fried wonton strips on top. I had to send it back.My Chirashi Don arrived and as I began to eat it, I noticed the imitation crab meat. I asked him if it was gluten free and he said yes. I told him to check, in which case he did and came back and said it is definitely not gluten free. He offered to ask the kitchen for a substitute item, and then came back and told me the Chef said no. Cross contaminated and got glutened. Very unfortunate and will not be going back.

Had a horrible experience. They do not guarantee gf for pretty much anything on the menu. Had a bowl of plain rice...

Though they do not have a gluten free menu, Joe, the head chef came out and spoke with me about what ingredients were safe. Helped me choose and spoke to me about his training with allergens. The staff admit when they are unsure of something. They change cutting boards and gloves. Delicious.
