Let me start out by saying Taverna is expensive. But, we knew that going in. I have a gluten allergy and I heard thru the grapevine that Taverna offered a lot of GF options and Italian is my favorite food so we wanted to give it a try. We split the house salad and had the GF focaccia bread to start. The salad was amazing. The bread was $9 with the GF up-charge which is ridiculous but it tasted pretty good! I was glad we tried it but we wouldn't get it again because of the price. I had a glass of Pinot and it was $10. It was really good. For the main dish I had the bolognese with gluten pasta--it was amazing! But again, $2 extra for GF noodles. It sucks having an allergy because everything is extra and it's not like I want to have this problem lol. Anyway it was a good sized portion and tasted amazing. My husband tried it and loved it. He had the carbonara with regular noodles and loved his too. The total with tip was almost $100....so yeah really pricey for what you get but really good GF Italian food for me. Best part, I didn't get sick at all after eating anything and service was on point!
