Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe

My husband is celiac. We decided to try this place because of SO MANY GF options. We have also eaten at a Taziki’s before… just not this one. Staff was kind. They were asked by the gentleman taking our order to change gloves. We both ordered grilled lamb meal w/ rice & potatoes. Was supposed to have a Greek salad - nope that wasn’t delivered to the table. When the food came out it was cold or luke warm at best. Lamb was so tough. Some of the potatoes were raw in the middle. Of course we didn’t say anything OR send it back b/c of possible intentional CC. Like most celiac, just shut up & eat…. Pray you don’t get sick. We left an hour ago, He’s sick.

Taziki’s used to promote itself as a gluten-free friendly chain, however the Mobile location is not. They do not have a GF menu. I ordered a Greek salad with no pita, which was printed on my receipt. Of course, my salad came out with several pieces of pita wedges inside. I sent it back, but no longer trusted the kitchen. Not celiac safe. Too bad.

I either get a salad with chicken or shrimp or the plate. It’s good and comes with a good amount of food

Great! This is a fast casual style place. The items that can be made gluten free are marked on the menu, so make sure to say, "Gluten free, please!" when ordering. I got the Mediterranean salad with no pita chips and added salmon. It was really good. I'll be coming back to try the other items soon, so I'll update then! There are also vegetarian and vegan options if you're interested in that.

Taziki's is my go-to for a Mediterranean salad with grilled salmon - there is a menu option to make it GF and hold the pita. They also have GF options for veggies to go with their hummus, for example.

I go with the steak or salmon feast with no pita. The Mediterranean salad and rice are good.

The olive souffle is good, too (just a cup of olives, but they're so good!)
