Not a big GF menu. Got the salmon which was overcooked. No GF bread or buns for the burgers.
Just ate here for the first time. I was sad to see they did not have gf bread or rolls, but they do have a large gf menu. I ordered the cedar plank salmon with smashed garlic potatoes (no gravy) and coleslaw, all from the gf menu. My boyfriend got a burger w bun, but ordered his fries on the side so I could have some (we specified they must be gf). My boyfriend loved his burger and my salmon and sides were DELISH... Sad to say on our drive home I felt awful and knew I had gotten glutened. :( I am so sick and bummed that although this place had good reviews, the waitress was knowledgeable, and my food was yummy I would not recommend it.
Very knowledgeable about food allergies, celiac disease and cross contamination.
The prime rib was delicious and merri our waitress was amazing and knowledgeable about dietary needs. You feel at home there and everything is made in house so you know the level of trust is there. They have posted their allergy training certificates which shows the pride they have in their restauraunt. Definitely give them a chance you will not regret it.
Best GF meal I've ever had. Burgers are amazing, no gf buns, but trust me, the burgers are worth it!!!! There's an option for in or outdoor dining, and the staff is def trained on gf diet needs!!
If I could leave negative stars I would teds used to be the place to go. Used to be is the operative statement I went there for dinner the other night and explain to the waitress that I'm gluten-free did I need to explain to you that I have celiac no I don't think so I was guaranteed a gluten-free meal Too bad my food came out with biscuits on top of it the waitress apologize profusely and stated they would remake my entire meal I said please make sure they remake my entire meal and don't just replate it. Well 10 minutes later the snotty manager comes out to ask me if I really needed gluten-free for a reason or if I'm gluten-free just because I'm sorry is my personal health and my personal business your business? Why no it's not. So they already wasted 10 minutes deciding whether to re-cook or replate my meal 20 minutes later my meal finally comes out so after everyone in my family has eaten I finally got mine the waitress was very kind but the manager never came back to check on me to see if my food was right or to do anything of any kind. Needless to say that will be our very last visit to Chad celiac gluten UN friendly restaurants
On Tuesday, December 30, 2014 I took my out-of-town guests for dinner at Ted's Montana Grill. We all had the same entree. Two of us ate the cucumber condiments. The other did not. Six hours later, the 2 of us who ate the cucumbers were violently ill for 36 hours. My doctor diagnosed us with the Norovirus, which is contracted from eating contaminated food, or eating food where food handlers did not wash their hands after using the bathroom. I notified restaurant and told the Manager. She apologized and offered me a coupon. I was so sick at the time, I couldn't imagine eating there again. She said she would let the General Manager know. The General Manager never called. Poor customer service, and bad fresh cucumbers!
Always enjoyed Ted's in many different locations. They now have GF buns for their burgers - delightful surprise.
I was really excited to have a burger with a GF bun. The food tasted great. Unfortunately after about 10 minutes I was severely glutened. Idk if it was the fries or the cross contamination but it was one of the worst times I've been glutened. Disappointed because I had such high hopes! I do not suggest eating here if you have celiac disease or if you are sensitive because cross contamination seems to be a big problem there.
GF menu has a good selection & items for the kids, bonus! My burger had great flavor. Fries are cooked separately. I feel quality was quite low though for the price. Lettuce to wrap burgers was wilted, broccoli had gross gas-like flavor that server said is normal because they cook it with the salmon ?? And though I was clear about my anaphylactic egg allergy, my meal came with mayo-based sauce on the side. The server at first told me it was egg free when I questioned it, and then came back to say she was wrong - scary! I doubt they could safely accommodate celiac preparation!
Lots of GF options! Loved the burger, Parmesan broccoli and French fries
Ted's USED to be my families "go-to" gluten free restaurant, eating there every weekend. Really great gluten free menu and with a sever allergy we felt very comfortable. We had one experience where our food came out clearly mixed with gluten items. Understanding mistakes are made we continued to be loyal customers. On our next visit we were told by one waiter that the entire gf menu was safe and then by another waiter that a few items on the exclusively gf menu was not in fact safe to eat. Then, during this same visit found that, yet again, there was clear cross contamination. I'm not certain if the management has changed or the kitchen staff but something has clearly occurred that makes me no longer trust that this particular Ted's is a safe place to for gf eaters. The good news is that there is another restaurant down on Evergreen Walk that is SO careful and has an unbelievable and expansive gluten free menu: Burton's!
Very good food, I had the grill shrimp for starters and the Grill Salmon as my main dish. Both were awesome! This was my first time eating here and I will return. 4 stars because we had to wait a while for our food.
I was diagnosed with celiac just a week ago. I decided to venture out to Ted's for my first attempt at gluten free restaurant dining. It was a great choice. They have a separate menu which even points out what to ask them to remove when ordering. It's been almost three hours since we finished and I feel great so they must have followed the rules with cross contamination. I will definitely head back there again. Low stress and great food!
What a great meal!! I had a bison burger (no bun) and the best fries I've had in a long time! Our server, David, was wonderful and so informative about their gf options. It's so nice to eat a great meal and feel safe. Would def recommend and ask for David!
I have eaten at "Ted's" for years and it is my favorite place for a burger! Many burgers to choose from with a variety of toppings so I never miss having a bun. They are always very attentive and responsive, at both Aspen Grove & Landmark locations. They have a separate fryer for fries but I always substitute with a vegetable,(since I think I my have reacted to the oil they use and it's healthier). All ingredients are very fresh!
I don't write reviews but here goes...most horrible experience for a celiac at Ted's - ordered a cocktail that on the menu which listed Tito's vodka- I watched the bartender pour Kettle One - I asked her when she put it in front of me if it was Tito's and she said no - I gave you an upgrade...I told her I had Celiac and ordered the advertised drink because it listed Tito's as the vodka- she gave me a dirty look and said I guess I can make you a new one... Had I not seen her I would be sick.... We then were seated and I spoke extensively with the waiter about my gluten issues and cross contamination - ordered my salad from the gluten free menu with a bison burger on top...when it was served I took a bite of the burger and then noticed the salad under it was covered in croutons and I was shocked. I asked to send it back and the waiter said sorry and returned within 1 min- same burger (with my bite missing) and salad- they took the croutons off!!!! What??? I have celiac! I'm not on a fad diet - cross contamination is very dangerous to me and will make me sick for days/weeks and wreaks havoc on my body and damages my organs! Don't claim to be gluten free and not know what it means or not train your kitchen or staff! If someone had an allergy to peanuts and they were served food with peanuts it in it and the person went into anaphylactic shock and died - legal action might make Ted's think twice about how to seriously accommodate dietary requirements- I don't mind going out and having limited options with my dietary needs but do have a problem with it not being taken seriously- will NOT be back- P.S. had to give one star because it would not let me submit- I would give it no stars if that were an option...FYI TED- fix it!
They do have a separate GF menu, and it's great. Lots of protein choices and sides. I had the Canyon Creek burger without a bun, and it was like a full entree dish... Almost like having a steak eating with a fork and knife! I will for sure be back. I forgot to ask for no croutons on my salad, an the server didn't catch it- do I had to carefully pick them out. Just remember!
Gluten free menu available upon request. No gf buns for the burger, but they have great French fries!
The food was DELICIOUS!!! I am always nervous about eating out due to cross contamination but they are very knowledgeable and take special care in preparing the food, plus everything is cooked fresh (an added bonus). Great cozy atmosphere, great service, SUPERB food! LOVE IT!
Good menu, more options than many places. Staff was very knowledgeable at both the downtown Atlanta and Crystal City locations. During one visit, my burger came with a bun and the waitress immediately took it back and without my saying a thing she insured me a new burger would be grilled. The buffalo burgers are fantastic!
Ribeye was delicious. Most the menu is burgers without the bun. Wait staff was not knowledgeable and didn't notice the different menus. The broccoli was ordered dry and showed up with cheese on it. Either the waitress or the chef weren't knowledgeable. I'll try again if I don't get sick.
