I’d never been to Tela’s and their menu online showed only their salads were GF, yet they had some fish-based entrees that SEEMED like maybe they’d be safe? So I called and spoke to Jesse on the phone, who helpfully took the time to walk me through what I could and couldn’t have, proactively let me know they have a shared fryer so unfortunately that wouldn’t work, and gave me some “off menu” modifications of a few items that they could make GF for me. My server was equally knowledgeable and comforting and even let me know they could sub out the bread with the burrata appetizer for GF bread (that was so good I wondered if it wasn’t GF, but he confirmed twice that it was). Jesse even came by to deliver my entree (sea bass with corn and tomato) and say hi. I felt super safe and taken care of!
