Awful.

Food was delicious, really good. Repeatedly asked the server if I could have certain menu items and he reassured me literally 3 times.

I ordered the spring rolls. The receipt even says “only gluten free”. I went over to the owner to thank him for having gluten free spring rolls and he says flatly “we don’t”

I consumed 3 gluten spring rolls. After the waiter convinced me they are gluten free and looks like he’s triple-checked with the kitchen.

I ask how this can happen. Owner says “just because the ticket says ‘(gluten free only)’ doesn’t mean it’s gonna be gluten free, it can say anything on there and it doesn’t matter”.

This is the worst part - I tell him to please let the waiter know this so it doesn’t happen to someone else, and trying to get him to understand how bad this is, that the kitchen wouldn’t stop that food going out when the waiter clearly typed in gluten free, and right there he tells the cook (she came out with the spring roll wrap packaging) not to talk to me, tells her I’m gonna sue them and that they have insurance and lawyers. 😭 This just made me start crying in front of them.

Then he just wrings his hands and gives us back payment.

I’m dreading the illness fallout. Been crying for 10 minutes.

This little gem is tucked away but it’s the best Thai food I’ve had in the area! The pineapple fried rice is very tasty. Good portion size. Fresh spring rolls are good too. They do have fried spring rolls but they are not fried in a dedicated fryer so are not Celiac safe. Friendly service and one of our favorite local dining spots!

They don’t have everything marked but I messaged them asking if they had gluten free options and they responded immediately saying they do. I tried both the pad Thai and drunken noodles making sure to specify they needed to be gluten free. Both were great dishes and I didn’t have any reaction
