The 5 Spot Cafe

It appears 5 Spot has moved to Buford, 940 Gainesville Hwy & is temporarily closed for construction. Another restaurant has moved into the Progress address. As of 4/23, the new restaurant was doing soft opening. No menu on their website.

Great food and service! Had a gluten free burger and my sister had French toast. Both were delicious. *Update*- I eat here all of the time now! One of my favs!! Get the tomato soup and key lime pie :)

Super nice and delicious. They have a separate fryer too! Best GF bread and they grill it. This place is not healthy but it IS delicious. I’m super sensitive to even a tiny amount of cross contamination and did not get sick.

I ordered over the phone and they have a drive up window too.

Found this location on this app when preparing to be in the area on a short vacation. I had the gluten-free French Toast with eggs and bacon which was available at 4 in the afternoon which I happily followed up with a slice of Reeses Peanut Butter Pie. I had no reactions after eating and it was all delicious.

Hubby had the Bacon Cheeseburger with fries. Everything was perfect from our service to the food. Our waitress was super nice and they brought out a brownie and ice cream to celebrate my husband's birthday! Next time were ANYWHERE near The 5 Spot Cafe it will be a stop on the journey!

I had a bacon cheese burger with a gluten free bun. It was amazing. And French fries because they have a dedicated fryer!! And they have gluten free Reese's Pie! So good!

Lots of GF options! My kids have GF pancakes, and I had GF French toast. Menu notes some items that can be GF, like the French toast and pancakes, but most anything can be accommodated.

Would definitely go back there based on the number of options.

Went for the fries and had a fantastic burger as well- so good! We tried the regular AND sweet potato fries were delicious. Juicy burgers, quick service.

So many gf options! Gluten free buns, dedicated fryer for French fries, gluten free bread options for French toast, etc. we enjoyed several gluten free desserts too. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Super clean, family owned. Several homemade dipping sauces and fries seemed fresh cut/not frozen.

Fantastic brunch and dinner spot in Lawrenceville!! For breakfast, I enjoyed the gluten free French toast with sausage. For lunch or dinner, I highly recommend the San Francisco sandwich. 10/10 recommend!!

Been here multiple times and never had any issues! I usually go with an omelette or French toast with potatoes and coffee. The staff is very knowledgeable about which items are gluten-free. It can get busy there, but the staff is always kind and work hard.

A little bit out of the way, but parking was easy, food was fantastic, and the server was running like crazy, but super apologetic for the slowness. French toast is GF and Vegan! I was super psyched for the French toast LOL.

Absolutely agree with all the positive comments. GF French toast is phenomenal. They also have GF buns and cheesecakes (which I’m about to have for breakfast). Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is great. Highly recommend.

Was visiting family in ICU at Gwinnett Medical Center & after a couple of days, I really wanted something more than the GF snacks I had brought— the 5 spot hit the spot! An AMAZING french dip with an AMAZING key lime cheesecake to restore my soul!!!!!!!!!

We tried 5 Spot this morning for breakfast. They are very knowledgeable about gluten allergies and celiac. The pancakes, French toast and omelette me can all be done gluten free. The also have two gluten free desserts and many gluten options for lunch and dinner. We will be back real soon! I highly recommend 5 Spot. Very family oriented too!

Great food! Extensive gluten free menu. Nearly all the sandwiches can be made gluten free, gluten free pancakes, gluten free French toast. They had a bunch of good stuff. It’s not on the menu but ask for the bacon wrapped plantain appetizer. It’s gluten free and amazing.

This place is a good option. The staff is friendly and there are good gluten free options for breakfast. They have gluten free pancakes as well as GF French toast. However the GF options are an extra $1.50

If you are gluten free, this is an amazing spot! About 90% of the menu can be adapted to be gluten friendly, and the food is amazing. For the first time ever, I was at a restaurant where I couldn’t figure out what I wanted because there were too MANY choices!

this place is amazing! almost anything can be made gf. They have gf French toast, gf grilled cheese ,gf tomato soup, gf desserts.... and gf buns! I've never been sick and they take great care with celiac..... getting the French toast as we speak! Amazing!

What a find!!! My wife has to eat gluten-free and the big question every day is "what are we going to have for dinner" now we have a place with a large menu that has great food and is less than 3 miles from our house. Now when that big question comes up, my answer, call it in and I will go pick it up. I already know what I am having tomorrow before the question is ask, it is going to be a pot roast day.

They were super nice and truly understand gluten free! I had the French toast and then my husband and I shared a brownie (couldn't pass it up!). Everything was great!

If you're not in the area you should get in the area. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. I went there based on a review of the grilled cheese. It was hands down the best I've ever had. The tomato soup is more like a spaghetti sauce and again the best I've ever had.
