The first time I went it was great, the second time not so much. They have a dedicated gluten free area, which is nice. I got a Ward sandwich on gluten free bread and it was delicious! The second time I went, I ordered the same thing and saw them write down “gluten free bread” and proceeded to make it on sourdough bread. I explained when he handed it to me that was not gluten free so he made another one on gluten free bread but this time he made me the wrong sandwich! I paid wayyyyy too much to spend a half hour in there explaining bread types while he insisted the sourdough was the right sandwich. Sad to say I probably won’t be wasting my money or time there again.

In the country barrel, they have a deli sub shop, they offer gluten-free bread and wraps. I asked about gluten-free protocol and they have a separate area for preparing gluten-free items, put on fresh gloves, use a clean knife etc. The Woman I spoke with and who prepared my sandwich was lovely, very informative and very sensitive to making sure everything, including the condiments were OK for my consumption.
All their deli meat is boars head which is gluten-free and they have lots of delicious fresh vegetables to go in the sandwiches. Had a delicious wrap with some gluten-free chips and a nice cold drink. Made this celiacs day!
