So I have celiac and went a couple of weeks ago after calling and asking if they had a gf menu. She told me some items that were gluten free but I stopped her at ribs because who doesn’t love ribs? When I got there I told our waitress I had celiac and that I’d love the ribs. She quickly came back to my table telling me the ribs are gluten free but they are soaked in beer. Wait, what? Thankfully she was amazing and thoughtful. Unfortunately I couldn’t have them and settled on a very fatty pork belly appetizer. If she hadn’t told me I’d have been so sick. I don’t understand why The Bayou has something on the menu clearly marked gf but it most definitely is not :( Places need to take celiac more serious.
