The Bellwether

This restaurant is the sister restaurant of Polite Society, right down the road. I couldn’t find any gluten free reviews so I emailed them ahead of time and they assured me that there were plenty of GF options and that they take cross contact very seriously. They also said in the email that they have a strictly non-gluten fryer! When I arrived I told the server my needs and he took my menu back to the chefs who marked it up with what was safe and what dishes needed to be modified. I had the mussels without the bread as an appetizer and the duck breast entree (the menu changes seasonally) and they were both fantastic. And best of all, I didn’t get sick!
