They are very gluten free knowledgable. Most items are gluten free. Sadly, the chips are prepared in oil that is used to fry non-gluten free items. The food is very good - a mix of California-Mexican and more traditional Mexican. My favorite is the Jicama Shrimp Tacos Frios. Very good fresh salsa - I always ask for extra.
Update December 2015:
Addendum to my above rating: I am back in San Diego and couldn't wait to visit my favorite Mexican restaurant. The food is still very good. Jicama shrimp tacos, Spanish rice, beans, kale/cabbage salad, and Mexican style corn. All just as good as before.
December 2016: escaped to San Diego from the ice storm in the Pacific Northwest. Still have a GF menu, still wonderful food and service.
