Items on the menu were marked with a gluten free symbol. Vegan options also marked on menu. I had the tofu rice bowl and it was delicious!

Not very many gluten friendly options.
They used to have the most amazing, gluten-free fried oysters but this year they were gone from the menu!! Now not many options at all. Basically a salad or protein bowl. Very disappointing.
Nice setting and outdoor eating area

No GF bread but were knowledgeable and was able to suggest something.
No dedicated fryer, but options!
Yes
Delicious, but when busy they don’t have a designated fryer as stated here
No dedicated fryer. No gf buns pasta etc. Accommodation was fill-in-the-blank protein on a "bed of lettuce"
While the staff was friendly and there were a lot of yummy sounding options, I would not call this a celiac friendly location. We bypassed another restaurant and drove specifically to The Canteen because it mentioned the designated fryer and had such a great location. Staff acknowledged the website was not up to date but didn’t seem overly concerned with it. Seems like something that should be updated - sandwiches on lettuce aren’t that appealing to a 14 year old boy (my son who has Celiacs). Other than that they couldn’t guarantee anything and said they could “kind of/try” to clean the pan between uses. My meal was good but as far as Celiac friendly and accommodating, it was very disappointing. Whether it is this app or the restaurant - the information needs to be updated.
No
I just want to correct that while they do use GF flour on some things, they do NOT have a dedicated fryer. Repeat- no dedicated fryer. So sad, no fries or fisfish and chips if you have Celiac or highly sensitive.
Delicious food and a great atmosphere (they have a rear beer garden/beach patio that is LOVELY and you'd never know from the street).
I had the chicken salad on lettuce (no GF bread but they can make lettuce wraps with nice soft Bibb lettuce), very tasty. Great drinks too!

Staff said very confidently, “we can accommodate you.” I had an omelette and bacon and was offered avocado in place of toast. Simple and good. Hit the spot. Nice coffee too. Very friendly staff. I’d definitely go again.
Yes
I’m not sure if this only applies to their breakfasts, but I was told that they did not have gluten free bread. I ordered one of their breakfast sandwiches as a plate without any bread and it was still very good!
Knowledgeable waitstaff and good selection. The chicken salad and french fries were excellent. Fun outdoor seating area in the back.
Yes
While menu not marked gf the staff was all knowledgeable - the tacos as well as their fish and chips can be prepared gf. Also Brussel sprouts were very good. Very casual nice back seating area

I was in Provincetown early in the season, so not many restaurants were open yet. And my husband and I wanted to go out to a restaurant once for supper during our vacation. This place surprised me by having a second fryer, dedicated for gf! Such a small place, I wouldn't have guessed it. I had delicious gf fish and chips, which of course we can rarely get in a restaurant. Another night I had their bento bowl: rice, fried tofu, and a raw edamame salad. This was rather boring because it's usually made with their teriyaki sauce, which of course I couldn't have. But they were able to make this simple meal safe for me, and for that I was grateful. The second time we were there we noticed they had gf brownies for sale. Don't know if these were actually safe or not, as I didn't ask, since I wasn't interested in that moment. So, we may or may not be able to have dessert there too! I'll leave that to another member of the community to find out!
