Review of The Cascade Dining Room

This beautiful room in a great historic lodge was our best bet for gluten free dining around Mt Hood, but I was very disappointed by what was offered at their lunch buffet. None of the entrees — a beef with Demi glacé sauce, BBQ pork & Mac & cheese — were gluten free, & I just wasn’t wanting the cold lox style salmon. I had the butternut squash soup, which was good, & enjoyed some fruit, sautéed veggies & potatoes, but it just wasn’t fully satisfying.

No GF bread or rolls & none of the desserts were described as GF. It was great to see the lodge again after so many years, but we had to stop in Hood River for a much better meal at Egg River since I was still hungry !
