Review of The Coconut Downtown

I had the chicken pad thai here and I informed the wait staff that I had celiacs and could not tolerate any cross contamination. They reassured me that they would take the necessary precautions. Several hours after eating here I became incredibly sick. I had nausea & other GI issues. I thought it was food poisoning until I spoke with another GF coworker who said her & her GF friend both ate there on separate occasions & both were sick afterwards. They also failed their health inspection in 2023 (can be found on Reno gazette journal). I will also say that my partner who is not GF also had the chicken pad Thai & was not sick. I would not recommend this place for celiacs or anyone really.
