So knowledgeable about what being gluten free actually means. Dedicated fryer for fries, and whitefish cooked in foil. Can’t get better than that! Oh wait it can - they also have gf dessert options. Great food and a great view.

Whitefish cooked in foil is delicious. The fries have a designated (separate) fryer, so it's a dream come true! Super knowledgeable waiter, went through the entire menu with us. Nice local wines and drinks. Beautiful spot on the dam overlooking into Lake Michigan.

They offer some fish dinners and burger (no bun) served GF. They have fryer dedicated to french fries only and a fish dinner that they stated has always been GF. I ordered the Campfire Whitefish ( I think that was what it was called) & it was excellent.

They use a dedicated fryer for the fries, and will batter and cook the fish in a new pan when you order it GF. We ordered the whitefish and chips and they were delicious! Our waiter also mentioned they can do the Parmesan Crusted fish GF. They also have GF cider on tap.
They are now closed for the season but will be back when they open next year!

Dedicated fryer! The perch fish and chips were light and delicious- have a Smacintosh with it!

Nice restaurant with a decent variety of choices. Some (but not all) of their fish entrees are gluten-free. I believe that all of their salads are gluten-free. They do have a separate fryer, so you can get gluten-free fries if you request it. Menu is not marked gluten-free, but the server was able to quickly tell me what was and wasn’t. I had the Caesar salad and their special rosemary-thyme whitefish, both of which I recommend.

Staff knowledgeable, have separate gluten free frier for the fries. Good food also

My daughter has celiac disease and after reading reviews we decided to try eating here and were very happy with our experience! She had the white fish fish chips and they cooked hers in a pan separately with gluten free flour and she was so happy to have fries since they have a dedicated fryer! We had a delicious lunch and she did not have any signs of cross contamination afterwards.

Had gf perch and chips. Very yummy.
My husband and I ate at The Cove yesterday. We both had the fish and chips, but mine were gluten-free. The menu was not marked for gluten-free, but our waitress was very knowledgeable. I have celiac and did not get sick. The fish and chips were very good, but not as good as I had when in Scotland. I would recommend The Cove. They have outside seating next to the river.
They seemed very knowledgeable of gluten and cross-contamination, but my wife's "GF" fish and chips was definitely contaminated.
They have 3 different types of gluten free flours to fry their fish in. I was worried I wouldn't be able to have fish in Fishtown... got lucky! Celiac friendly, French fries are just potatoes in a dedicated fryer.
