The Dutchess

Had a wonderful experience at The Dutchess. My husband called beforehand to discuss my celiac daughter’s needs and they were very helpful. No dedicated fryer but plenty of other delicious foods to choose from. When we got there, a server took a menu, on which the items were clearly marked (“gf” and “vegan”) and crossed off everything she could not eat (which included the GF items that were fried). I was confident that they knew how to take all the necessary precautions in the kitchen and I wasn’t afraid for my daughter to eat there. It was so good that I’d drive back to Ojai just to eat there again! So happy this restaurant exists.

One of our favorite places not only for the cuisine but the care they give to all special diets. They always make me feel safe and I’ve never had an issue. Very willing to adapt dishes to GF & DF if possible. No dedicated fryer but happy to do anything else they can.
