I was told the pancakes were cooked on a separate grill, and the chef told me she had celiac (or maybe gluten intolerance). My Nima sensor detected gluten however. I even tested the pancakes twice, and both times it found gluten.

The gluten free waffles are not made on a dedicated waffle maker! Not celiac friendly. The pancakes are made separately, however. Honestly, my review is mostly for how I was treated like I was a bother to the employee we worked with. We asked when our food was delivered if the syrup was gluten free, she said it’s just regular syrup, we asked what the brand was and so she went to the back to “find out”. When she came back a minute later, all she said was that there’s no gluten in syrup. Needless to say, I wasn’t eating any syrup and I don’t really trust what they told me before that either. They didn’t make me feel like they had the knowledge behind celiac/gluten intolerant and so I was not comfortable.

The staff was very kind and accommodating. The gluten free pancakes were delicious as well as their sandwiches. A terrific find!

Fabulous little gem! Owner has celiac, she was cooking behind the counter. Does NOT have a GF fryer, but many other items are safe. Soy free, can be dairy free by request. Also deviled eggs & other goodies in the to-go fridge case :-)
Update, a year later. My first time being back... wish this place was closer too me!! I’ve been dreaming of a fabulous breakfast and they did not disappoint. YUM!

Small and unassuming “shack” on the outside. Inside is a celiac’s heaven. Their menu is on about 4 large boards on the wall. Usually when I go to places like this, the food options for me are narrowed down to an omelette and a few salads. But here they can make nearly everything on their menu safe! I looked up at the menu and actually became a little overwhelmed with all of the things I can eat: 4-5 kinds of pancakes, all sorts of breakfast items including breakfast sandwiches with hash browns, toast, home fries; 8-ish kinds of burgers and about the same amount of sandwiches! I’m unsure if the fries are safe, I didn’t even get to that because I was eyeballing the banana-but pancakes.
Another thing that’s not necessarily Celiac related: the bacon is high quality and thick sliced, and the breakfast sausage looks home made and was delicious!
The staff was highly knowledgeable about gluten free eating and safe cooking practices, so she also put on the ticket that I’m really sensitive. I think she may have been a little amused because I looked like a kid in a candy store. I didn’t even try to hide how delighted I was!
We will definitely return to this little diamond in the rough! If only there were other restaurants like this everywhere!

What a pleasant surprise- this quaint little burger joint has a dedicated area to prepare GF food. The owner has celiac disease and is very careful when preparing food. Great options- I had the veggie melt on GF bread. Wish I wasn’t just passing through- this would be a weekly stop for me.
