I ate here twice on a recent trip to Decorah. They are fantastic. The owner has a gluten sensitivity and she is very knowledgeable. The staff are great and they have a dedicated GF fryer!! You watch them make everything because of where the gluten free fryer is. I shared onion rings, chicken tenders, fries, cheese curds, and even a breaded chicken sandwich. The chicken was too die for. It was like eating fried chicken. Their sauces are all gluten free and house made and she makes the some of the best BBQ sauce I’ve ever had.

We went out of our way to try this place based on past reviews. I was sooo excited to have cheese curds. Doing my due diligence I had to inquire about their dedicated fryer which the server/bartender (owner?) confirmed they had. However she stopped me from ordering twisted fries because the seasoning has gluten! They are marked gluten free on the menu. So I ask are they fried in that same fryer? Yes. I asked about their batter being gluten free and she said the batter on the chicken strips and cheese curds are beer battered! Also marked gluten free on the menu. She basically said they can’t guarantee any of their items marked gluten free are actually gluten free. Very disappointing and frankly dangerous. I couldn’t risk ordering food.

The staff was knowledgeable about gluten and celiac. They have a dedicated frier, so my wife was able to have home made gluten free cheese curds that were awesome. They have a large number of gluten free options, from pizza to Mongolian beef. The building is plain on the outside but modern and clean on the inside.
