When the line is out the door before it opens you know it’s going to be good! I love how many delicious options there are. Pancakes, home fries, breakfast sandwiches, and so much more. Everything is prepare safely, the menu is labeled well, and staff are knowledgeable. Such a fun spot for breakfast.

Even with a large party they were great about repeating my gf order and knowing what I can safely have, bringing it out first by a manager and clearly marking it.

Very serious about allergies. Special grill for gluten free, manager brings out gf food. We were impressed and will definitely be back

Love the Friendly Toast! Have been to both the Burlington and Portsmouth locations with no issue and Portland was just as good. I am highly sensitive celiac and my son has a dairy allergy, both of us were accommodated with no issue. Home fries were in a separate gf section, separate toaster, and plenty of vegan options for my son. Everything came out separately from the non allergy orders with allergy markers. So happy Portland now has this option!

The first question our server asked was if there were any allergies, and then asked to clarify if cross contamination was okay or not. I got the vegan breakfast burrito with a water and it was amazing, no symptoms after whatsoever. The gluten friendly options are somewhat limited. Such friendly staff.

Celiac and son has tree nut allergy. I told server upfront and did mark our items allergy however a different server brought out and mine had fries in separate container but on my plate ( I had said do not include since they’re from a shared fryer). They do have gluten free bread and cook the pancakes separately so I would stick to breakfast items next time!

Celiac safe!!!! So happy Portland has a friendly toast. They take great care with allergies, especially celiac disease. Cross contamination is not an issue. Allergy meal is served by the manager with an allergy toothpick in it. One of my go to brunch spots now.

This place happened to be attached to our hotel but we heard great things about it before we realized how close it was. They offer GF pancakes or GF french toast (in addition to a full breakfast menu). I had the french toast with eggs and bacon and it was delicious!! They bake the GF bread daily and I was totally impressed. Will definitely try it again next time we’re in Portland.
