Review

The owner is so sweet. He spent time explaining what would be safe for Celiac, and otherwise. They offer gluten-free bread, but the toaster isn’t a dedicated gluten-free toaster. He mentioned being very clear with the cashier about your level of sensitivity when placing your order so that they can accommodate you appropriately. They do use a separate bottle for sauces for gluten-free orders, and he mentioned ordering your item to-go so that it is in an untouched container versus a plate that has previously been used for traditional bread (although he said everything is sanitized). They use new gloves for GF orders, as well as utensils for preparation. For those with extreme sensitivities, the Charleston Pops (popsicles and creamy popsicles) are safe (they are marked GF and they offer some DF too; obviously not the cookies’n’cream pop). We love that the owners are military veterans, which we should always go the extra mile to support! I’ll update further upon my upcoming visit.

Edit: There are açaí bowls that are gluten-free (without the granola), as well as salad options (hold croutons).
