So happy to have found a place along the 101 that is extremely gluten free friendly!
Everything on the menu is very well labeled. They are either labeled as made gluten free, or with the option to be made gluten free. They have a dedicated gluten free fryer.
Staff is very friendly. Food is good. Atmosphere is lovely!
I’d happily recommend this place to others and plan to stop here again when next in the area.

Our 2nd visit here. Our first trip was during COVID so they were out of items and we sat outside in the cold. Thos trip didn't disappoint at all. This will be a go to place when we are in the area. Basically anything can be made gluten-free. The fryer is gluten free. The staff is very nice and helpful.

What a serendipitous find! We randomly stopped here on our trip north. Grass-fed beef, all meat and produce raised on the owners’ property 25 miles away. Real farm-to-table fare! They have a rare awareness of gluten-free cuisine: everything is labeled and gluten-free pasta/bread/buns for any dish! Even the hand-pies and cakes are made gluten-free! Gluten-free foodie paradise.

YOU MUST EAT HERE! One of the few places I’ve found where there were more GF choices than than non GF choices. AND all their desserts are GF. AND the staff was super knowledgeable. AND the food was phenomenal. I had the chicken pesto sandwich on really tasty GF bread. Delicious!! Fries are safe to eat! My husband had the burger and he said it was one of the best burgers he’s had. Since I couldn’t decide on which dessert to order, we ordered the cheesecake, Amaretto cake, and brownie to enjoy over the next couple of days- all were excellent. Highly highly recommend.

The food here is always wonderful. The chicken pot pie is excellent. The owner has celiac, so they are very careful in the kitchen, and they have a dedicated fryer! All of their desserts are also gluten free! I highly recommend this place.

Drove an hour for lunch to discover they are closed all-day for an employee Christmas party. Is this on the website? OF COURSE NOT.
Interestingly, Google seems to think they are closed on Sundays, despite the website saying they open at 11am on Sundays.
So I guess please learn from my lesson and call ahead.

So amazing. So many gluten free choices including lasagna and a chicken pot pie. I got a burger and the bun was so soft and delicious. Many dessert choices (pies, brownies etc) and all gluten free. Will definitely come back. The owner has celiac so they know what they are doing here!

Stopped for lunch during a road trip in August 2022. Wonderful food, safe (celiac). Even my non celiac husband enjoyed it. Recommended!

Great food and I felt safe! The waitress was very knowledgeable, and the kitchen has a separate area for gluten-free food from what I understood. Menu is clearly marked, and has plenty of gluten-free and also vegetarian options available. There's a dedicated frier. All desserts are fully gluten-free. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, did not get sick and will go again if I'm in the area.

The Food was delicious. I had the chicken pot pie and shard the savory meat pocket with the table. The experience and the service was meh though. Everything took way longer than it should have. There are only 6 outside tables so there was a wait to be sat. There was only 1 waitress and she was nice, but she was slow. She brought my kid the wrong order, so we had to wait for his to be remade. She didn’t even offer us refills until right before she brought us the check. Would not go back. It could be cleaner as well.

They are currently only seating outside so I recommend calling ahead for a table- there were only 3-4 tables on the patio. It was quite warm out but they did have misters which helped. We had a couple of appetizers that came with gf crackers. My son had a delicious burger and fries that were safe. I had the quiche. All food was tasty. They had numerous gf desserts!

Our server told me that any item on the menu can be made GF, with bread substitutions and other accomodations! The owner is celiac and so the menu was crafted to be suitable for GF and gastrotypical people (my word, but you can use it ;)). I had the bacon wrapped scallops with mushroom risotto and a surprisingly large side salad. It was fantastic. The scallops were so tender and the bacon so crispy -- dark magic must be at work for the food to be this good and GF!

We ordered the nachos with pulled pork to start, followed by the grass fed steak and rotisserie chicken large plate selections, finished with flourless chocolate cake and apple crisp. Everything was gluten free and absolutely sublime. Can not recommend highly enough. GF Heaven.
Super great food. Everything is gluten free except the bread, but you can order gf. Wonderful staff. We will be back again.

The Golden Pig is an amazing Celiac friendly restaurant. The owner Julie has Celiac, and she is dedicated to operating a kitchen that serves gluten free food in addition to sourcing only local products. So, it's only fitting that The Golden Pig uses Pamela products, a local and well-known gluten free flour as the only flour product in the kitchen. With the exception of the bread served on the sandwiches, everything is gluten free: the BBQ sauces, the dressing, the large plates, small plates, quiche, cornbread, chocolate cake, the French fries, you name it! And not only that, every sandwich and burger can be served with gluten free bread or buns! For someone who also has Celiac, I can say the opening of this restaurant has been an awesome addition to the town of Hopland. Everything on the menu is pure deliciousness!!! My favorites include the pulled pork sandwich and a custard from the grab-and-go section. This local is in love with The Golden Pig!!!
