Great meal. They notified the entire kitchen, brought me gluten free bread, and told me they could adapt anything on the menu. I had parsnip soup made without a rou, and trout on a bed of vegetables (sans the spaetzel on the menu). Could not have asked for more! I have been back several times since my first review and they always take care of me. If you call the day before they will be sure to have GF bread.

I asked the staff which menu items would be GF friendly but after eating I was sick. I haven’t felt this bad in a really long time. Now it might not be the kitchens fault and just the stuff not really knowing but we won’t return.

The staff was very knowledgeable. Our waitress went to talk with the kitchen multiple times to make sure everything was gluten free. She made sure to give me the butter before my husband did. And she warned me not to try his food because the purée contained flour. Amazing food. Great atmosphere. I felt completely safe eating here and didn’t get sick.

The staff is very knowledgable and the food is fabulous. They can tell you which items contain gluten or can be modified, and they even made sure that I got a modified version of the "palate cleanser" brought out before the meal. On top of that, they had gluten free bread I could eat when the other members of my party were enjoying their bread, or that I could use with the charcuterie appetizer. And it wasn't some sad "supermarket" gluten free bread, either--it was clearly "homemade" bread.

Overall, I had a very good experience and would highly recommend The Grey Plume for anyone wanting fresh, local cuisine. It's pricey (I recommend budgeting about $50 per person) but worth every penny.

Absolutely amazing! Almost all the menu items can be made gluten free and the staff is very well educated on what is and is not gluten free. It's a small and intimate space and they had that I was GF on my reservation so everyone who waited on us knew. Really appreciated the vastness of menu options, knowledge of the staff and just the amazing quality and taste of the food.
