Was afraid the reviews were too good to be true after getting sick next door. But the server was super knowledgeable, asked about cross contamination right off the bat, announced the food as celiac as it arrived, and - it was all SO good. I’m still dreaming of the rice noodles. A lovely place with great people.

Not cheap. Well worth it!
My wife (omnivore) and I ordered and ate more than we had planned. No regrets.
We had a crispy cabbage salad (GF) seared scallops (two orders: we miss fresh seafood here in Rochester, NY) and the pad mee korat. All were superb.
The staff were friendly and helpful. (We picked a slow time, which probably helped!)

The Honey Paw is one of the best experiences I’ve had in a long while. The dedicated and knowledgeable staff were so kind and helpful. Every item I had was full of flavor and absolutely incredible. I have severe Celiac where even a crumb of gluten can make me ill - I experienced absolutely zero effects from gluten. This is a must try for Celiacs (and non-Celiacs as well)!

The Pad Kee Mao is to DIE for. Best noodle dish I’ve ever had in the 22 years of being gluten free. The honey comb soft serve is also entirely gluten free and it’s so good I want to cry every time I eat it. Favorite local restaurant by far!

Two delicious noodle dishes that are labeled GF, you *HAVE TO* try the Pad Mee Korat. I cook for a living and they somehow accomplished the sticky noodle of my dreams. I’ve been gluten free seven years and that was the best noodle dish I’ve had since 2017.

Sat at the bar and the server was very helpful in pointing out my options. Even asked if I planned to share with my non-celiac friend so they could cook her rice noodles in my separate dedicated water. Dishes were indicated to be “celiac-safe” on delivery to the table. GET THE HONEY SOFT SERVE FOR DESSERT, it is soooo good.

We had a delicious date night complete with coffee roasted carrots (with ricotta), pad me Koran (and a gluten-filled noodle dish for my hubby), and GF honey ice cream! They were very accommodating and happy to State which dishes were ‘Celiac sage’ when delivering food to the table. Highly recommend and will be going back!

Good food, very conscious of GF and celiac. Waitress pointed out gf options, about half of menu is gf. Not cheap! Very spicy, not for faint of heart.

By far one of my favorite places in Portland. If you want a trip to flavor town this is it. Bartender was super helpful explaining what was safe. They can cook the one safe noodle dish in separate water than the other noodle dishes. It was amazing. Absolutely amazing.

Amazing experience. I feel extremely safe eating here. Waitress was beyond knowledgeable and actually asked if our party had any allergies before ordering. CELIAC FRIENDLY!!

Our waitress didn’t seem fazed about my dairy, gluten, soy, egg allergy and went through the entire menu with me, highlighting what was safe to eat and what could be altered. Their online menu also clearly states what allergens are in each item. I settled on the charred broccolini and lobster laksa. The flavors were out of this world! I we weren’t leaving town the next day, I would have loved to eat there again. Highly recommend!

There aren’t too many options they can make GF (most of their apps are fried and they don’t have a separate fryer, so you’re basically limited to salads, a few other cold apps, and a few noodle entrees). However, everything that I’ve tried has been delicious and I haven’t had a response. I love the khao soi!

I felt like the staff took my concerns very seriously which I really appreciated. The waiter pointed out which items they could do gluten free. They have rice noodles to swap out for other noodles. He said they would scrub the wok out before cooking my meal. That might not work for someone more sensitive but it worked for me. There weren't many items they could do GF but you only need a couple and the ones we had were very good. They also had a couple of really good ciders on their menu and mixed drinks.

Really great food. Staff is very aware. I’ve only tried a salad and cocktail there but other items can be made gluten free. I’ve seen on their online ordering you can choose “celiac” and they will make the noodles in new water, etc.

The staff was very knowledgeable about celiac disease and cross contamination. Many of their dishes could be modified to be gluten free. The only reason I took a star away was because the food wasn’t to my taste. The menu doesn’t go in depth as to what’s in each dish and mine for instance was very spicy. Place was also extremely busy.
Truly exceptional meal. The server (Meg W.) was incredibly knowledgeable about gluten free options and the safety of their kitchen, and she was very helpful with choosing gluten free appetizers and making switches to my entree to get what I wanted while making it gluten free. She also came to ask questions about cross-contamination and was just so attentive and kind during the entire meal.
Not to mention, the food is amazing! One of the best meals I’ve had in an extremely long time.

The server was very knowledgeable about what was gluten-free or how to make dishes gluten free. If she was unsure, she checked with the kitchen. Rice noodles were cooked in different water than the egg noodles. I had the Vietnamese Masa Crepe - it was delicious!
