Had a great experience here, staff was very accommodating and the GF bread was amazing. Had a separate GF menu which said to let your server know if you had celiac. Will go again when we visit the islands!

Hops Spot (Clayton,NY) does NOT have a gluten free fryer. I called a head of time and the staff ensured us that they have a dedicated gluten free fryer. We made a reservation and when we arrived the server nor the management knew what was gluten free and what was not gluten free on the menu. We received our cocktails and soft drinks but then had to cancel our order and leave after the server came back to tell us that the kitchen can not guarantee that anything on the menu is gluten free. I asked to speak with a manager and the manager said that we should come back on a Monday or Wednesday when they change the oil in their THREE fryers. It also says on the menu that they do not guarantee that anything fried is gluten free. I then had to deal with a three year old crying on a 20 mile ride home. So sad. Worse... they didn’t comp our drinks. I had to drink a double tequila on an empty stomach. Bad idea...

Had a gluten free menu and a Nima for you to use. We didn’t use it as they had just purchased it and it wasn’t charged but we got to use it. Gluten free menu was confusing Bc they said they had a dedicated fryer but not to get the fries if you had “severe celiac”. When we asked for clarification they assured us it was safe but both celiacs in the group had mild reactions. I would go again but not get the fries. Glutenberg beer and outside dining. Beautiful place and seems to be trying just some clarification would be helpful.
