The Island Grille

The Island Grille is the ONLY place my wife will eat when she's in town. As a diagnosed Celiac, she is very picky. This restaurant was recently purchased by new owners and the wife has celiac as well and as such basically EVERYTHING has a gluten free option! My wife was given warm gluten free rolls, had gluten free croutons for her salad, was given gluten free noodle options for her pasta AND even topped it off with a gluten free chocolate cake for dessert. Thank you Island Grille for making our dinners anxiety free :)

The menu marked GF selections. I chose the veggie stir fry with grilled shrimp added. The waitress assured me that the kitchen could prepare this meal safe for someone with Celiac. Gluten was detected with my Nima tester. The server was apologetic and helpful as she brought me a menu and discussed my replacement options. By the time I received a salad to replace my meal, everyone in my party had finished eating. I chose to not add a protein to the salad since I did not know the source of cross-contact.

This restaurant was amazing! We love seafood and they had a great shrimp and scallops in a wonderful thai sauce that was GF. Their menu was clearly marked and they had a decent selection. Nothing fried available due to shared fryers. My 9 y.o. Celiac has a cheeseburger with rice and loved it. Would highly recommend.

Small quiet place. I got grouper and my fiance got the curry with shrimp. I ate both, we always share. 🥰 both were very good. You can choose dinner or lunch portions. We got the lunch portions and it was plenty!

I am celiac and am very sensitive. I did not get sick. I got a mojito without syrup mix. It was great!

Right on the beach too!!! 🤗
