We have been coming to St. John for many years, and I was excited to see that the Lime Inn is now an almost completely gluten-free kitchen. The only gluten in the kitchen are the flour tortillas, the graham cracker crumbles on the Key-lime pie, and the croutons on the clam chowder. The staff is educated, and the owner, Richard, is very reassuring/accommodating, as the chef. I am highly reactive to both gluten and dairy, and cannot even tolerate the smallest bit of cross-contamination. I’m often even contact sensitive. I ate here and felt very safe and the food was actually delicious! This will be something I look forward to when we come back again!

The manager “Bubu” was very knowledgeable about everything gluten free and Celiac disease. She walked me through the entire menu and pointed out already gluten free items and items that could be made gluten free upon request! I felt extremely safe here and the food was delicious!! Could not recommend enough!

They handled celiac and allergies like pros, talking us through every menu item and checking multiple times in the kitchen to ensure no cross contamination. The food was excellent, would recommend this place highly!

Our whole family thought the food was incredible. In fact we are going back again tonight! The servers were fantastic, attentive and knowledgeable about gluten. They also were able to advise that certain items did not contain gluten but were cooked in the same fryer as food containing gluten. However a large amount of the menu was gluten free, even one dessert (and it wasn’t crepe brûlée or sorbet!) The menu was also marked for dairy and nuts as well. Fantastic choice for gluten free dining on St John!

The Lime Inn came highly recommended by other visitors so we decided to try it for the first time and based on the great food and Chelsea's attention and service, we will definitely return during our next trip! Menu is clearly marked and the GF request was easy for them to accommodate. The wok dish and ribs were delicious! It was also nice to see an island business staying in the family. Be sure, too, to visit Linda at the Pink Papaya gift shop alongside Lime Inn!

I had the crab stuffed filet which was very good. My husband had the snapper which he liked but said wasn't exceptional. They did seem knowledgeable about gf which was a huge plus. Our waitress Lou was terrific.

Excellent restaurant! The crab-stuffed filet was the best meal I've had in recent memory! GF menu is pretty extensive. Exercise caution with sides. The green beans are a great alternative.
