I messaged The Lokal on Instagram and got an amazing response…

We do not have an actual menu, but I can steer you in the right direction.

Our menu is pretty gluten allergy friendly, we have items that don’t require modifications & then you can of course use common modifiers for standard items such as burgers, salads, etc. I’ll list the items that do not require modifications & the few that may have hidden gluten not listed in their descriptions so that you are aware of the safe foods for you on our menu.

Please ensure that you inform your server of your gluten-free requirements even if you order safe items so that they can use an allergy modifier which notifies our to take the proper steps to avoid cross contamination with kitchen surfaces.

Gluten free WITHOUT modifications:

Entrees:

Salmon (the salmon sauce is thickened with cornstarch) Ribeye Sirloin Grilled Chicken Pork Chops (I would put the BBQ on the side, we make it in house & the ingredients are gluten free but I can not confirm that there was no cross contamination at the time of preparation)

Side Items:

Mashed potatoes Asparagus Grilled Squash & Zucchini Green Beans Carrots

Green beans and asparagus Luis have some cross contamination since they are steamed in the same water as the macaroni noodles.

Hidden Gluten Items:

Meatballs (panko) Meatloaf (panko) Pecan crusted chicken from Lokal Salad (panko & cross contamination due to frying) French Fries & Sweet Potato Fries (flour based coating & cross contamination due to frying)

Then you can always remove the bun from burgers, swap proteins on the Lokal Salad (it’s wonderful with salmon) remove croutons, your more typical modifiers.

Our salad dressings are all made in house & gluten free except the Balsamic Vinaigrette (the house vin. is GF) The shredded cheese from our house salad, southwest salad & BBQ cheddar burger is a pre-shredded cheese that I know has a flour based preservative that can cause symptoms in some severe celiac cases but we have several gluten free individuals who don’t seem to have problems with it.

Thank you for reaching out to ask & please let me know if you have any additional questions!
