Great experience. We ordered takeout over the phone and felt safe about their procedures against cross contamination. The food was delicious.

My wife and I were in Rochester and stopped by this place for breakfast. They have an extensive GF menu that features french toast, omelets, eggs Benedict, and brunch sandwiches like tuna melts. I went with the Benny Flight, which is three different kinds of eggs Benedicts and I was not disappointed.
They also have some fresh GF treats at the bakery. I got the Nutter Butter!
This restaurant is a bit pricey, but worth the cost given the extensive GF offerings, delicious food, and safety.

Amazing! I went there and was overwhelmed by all the options on gf menu! I never had hollandaise sauce because I wasn’t sure it was safe at other places but I tried it here! They ask if you have an allergy or just preference so I feel like they will be more careful if you say allergy. And offer a gf menu when you walk in.

Immediately asked if we wanted gluten free menus, very good variety of options, great service! Will definitely be coming back. I had the Mad Hatter Plate - GF french toast, meat crumbles, spicy hollandaise, eggs, and potatoes. My partner had the Market Veggie Sandwich - Spinach, Zucchini, Eggplant, Tomatoes, Peppers, with balsamic and gf bread.

What a wonderful experience, every single time. I get scrambled eggs, with red skin potatoes topped with hollandaise and it comes out labeled gluten free 😊

We were in town from another state and decided to come in and give this restaurant a try. Amazing food, felt very safe eating here. But let’s get to the real reason I came in… the “goodies” the apricot scone is amazing as well as the double chocolate cookie. I highly recommend the Mad Hatter.

FUN and yummy! GF French toast and baked goods! Baked goods upon entering…a mix of regular, GF, vegan. GF items marked on menu. Kid has celiac, gets very sick when glutened…did NOT get sick!

Great experience at Mad Hatter. Lots of choices, we take our son (celiac diagnosis) here when we visit him at college. He always requests to go here.

I ordered the stuffed French toast to go. Delish!! They recently changed their GF bread so it’s larger than it was before and is a really great quality. That have gluten free pastries but they’re in a shared area with gluten pastries, which made me a little nervous. I selected pastries on the outer side with less chance of cross contamination. Staff also put on a brand new pair of gloves to grab the items. Staff was nice but prepare for a wait, especially since they’re on reduced capacity during COVID.

GF is clearly marked on the menu and I have been assured there is a separate GF food prep/grill area. When ordering GF they ask “contact or no contact” I have gotten varying answers as to which one is suitable for avoiding cross contamination with one person saying “contact” means totally GF and another stating “no contact” means GF. The first time I ordered take-out I waited 25 minutes while they remade my food as it had been CC due to miscommunication. The second time I ordered I stated “I have celiac and will get sick if I have any gluten” when ordering to avoid the issue and I got sick after eating my food. My second take-out order was also ready 30 minutes later than the pick-up time I was told upon ordering. I’m sad because they have amazing food and baked goods. I just haven’t had experiences that have made me feel confident that my food is safe from CC and it’s a shame because I truly think it’s due to communication error, not the actual cooking space.

Labeled menu. Plenty of options. When i ordered she asked if i needed contact precautions or just gf for preference. . I felt safe when she clearly knew the difference!

Love it here & happy I don’t have to worry after I say I’m Celiac. Wish they had a dedicated case for the GF pastries.
Great atmosphere. The g.f. French toast was well-prepared, but the bread was anemic. Was charged $10 for four triangles of very thin bread. I think the dollop of butter weighed more that the bread slices. The wait for the food was a tad long.
Staff knew what celiac was as soon as I told them I was gluten free! The menu was labeled pretty well so you could see what was gluten free and there were a lot of great options. It was the first time I’d been able to go out and eat breakfast somewhere in awhile and it was great! I’d totally recommend it.

SO good!!! I loved it here! Had GF stuffed French toast & it was amazing!! Most items can be made GF. Bread for all toast, panini, burgees & sandwiches. Highly recommend!! Bunch of GF pastries too! (Can’t believe I didn’t know about this place)
Yes
Tons of gf options including things like French toast. I’ve been a few times now and enjoyed the food both times and didn’t get sick. It’s a cute spot for breakfast or brunch!

What a find. Wonderful gluten free choices. Unique setting. Good service.
The food was very tasty and their menu has gluten free options available. I was probably too trusting, though, and I was there at peak brunch time on a Sunday. I definitely was glutened, and wonder if I was given real bread instead of gluten free by accident. Would be willing to try again right at opening to see, but definitely more wary now.
When I ordered gf French toast, the server asked me if it’s a contact allergy, and when I told her I have Celiac, she said, “Got it” and made a note of it on her pad. The French toast was awesome!

Food was delicious and staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free! Plus the decor was adorable!

I had their GF stuffed peach Challah french toast which was recommended by my server. It was delicious. The roasted potatoes were also decent. The wait was rather long but I am pretty sure they short staffed that day.
They were definitely aware of celiac disease and I didn't experience any symptoms of cross contamination.

Many choices, great service, delicious flavors! Cool atmosphere!

I had a fantastic experience. The waitress was knowledgeable about celiac and cross contamination. Their GF bread is to die for; it was so good that I spit it out at first, convinced I was given real (non GF) bread. They also have a great selection of teas.
There is a selection of gf bakery items, but they were housed with non gf treats so I didn’t take a chance. But it might be worth investigating.
Yes
The menu doesn't identify which items are gluten free. My waiter wasn't able to answer questions about gluten free options, apparently thought that gluten free was the same as vegan, and insisted that the veggie burger was gluten free. It has breadcrumbs in it.
No
The food was good, the staff was friendly, it's a lovely place! The gluten free dishes included any of the scrambles or frittatas with gf toast. They also offered French Toast, but no benedicts or pancakes.
Yes
Great breakfast / lunch place that has.many GF options including French toast and baked goods. Very knowledgeable about cross contamination (server asked if we had any contact allergies) and cook foods separately. Also an amazing selection of teas.
