The Mad Taco

Was told not to attempt by staff. Not celiac safe. Cross-contamination is unavoidable. I didn’t eat it because of the warning by staff. My non-celiac, yet gluten sensitive friend did eat there and also didn’t feel well. I did safely drink a margarita there a few years ago though, so that’s a plus!

Great selection of gf tacos! I had the fish tacos which are lightly breaded with corn flour, they confirmed for me that they are gluten free. Portions are generous, the standard 2 taco order is more than enough for most.

I had the carnitas, spicy carnitas - I cant remember the actual name of this one - and the pork belly... all delicious! Only complaint was that they were a *bit full, but that’s not really a complaint, just a preference! I’d definitely go back 👌🏻

I have eaten at both mad tacos, and did not get sick. I had the rice burrito bowls every time. I love that they have Mexican soda with sugar as I cannot have high fructose corn syrup.

Staff was very knowledgeable but informed me that their gf options are NOT celiac friendly. Their corn tacos are made on the same grill as wheat tortillas.

The staff actually remembered us. Marked us as celiac. This place is amazing, upfront, and delicious!

Most of the menu was GF. The guy working the counter wasn’t quite clear on the physics of gluten (told us the cooking surface got hot enough to take care of it), but he was more than willing to have the back cook it in a separate pan. Neither of our celiacs got sick.

I'm celiac and had my rehearsal dinner catered here. Their menu has gf options and They were more than willing to accommodate my cross contamination needs. I've been here to eat as well. I never had strong reactions, but wonder if this is the kind of place that is hit or miss depending on staff and how busy they are. I was there the other day and they said flour was everywhere and couldn't accommodate me.

Not only are all the tacos gluten free but they are amazing for tacos in general! My friends that aren't gluten free love them! So good!

All the tacos are gluten free. A bit pricy especially because you order at the counter. But the tacos were pretty good. Super casual atmosphere

All their tacos are gluten-free, staff were knowledgeable and able to explain what was and wasn't gluten-free in the kitchen, and the tacos were delicious. This location has outdoor picnic tables overlooking the river, which are delightful in nice weather.

This was a great experience! Everything was gluten free except 1 menu item and they were very conscious of cross contamination. If I come back I will absolutely eat there again. I had the burrito bowl with roasted yams. It was amazing.
