We last ate here about 5 years ago and tonight were sorry we had waited so long to come back! It was a lovely birthday dinner. I called a day in advance to discuss my diet and the Chef was really into making sure I had a great dining experience. We went through the menu and when I arrived he had even written out for the server which items I needed to avoid that night. I still gave the server my restaurant card for the chef's reference. The seafood mousse was perfect and the chef provided a gluten-free alternate to the toast points. They nicely split the grilled romaine salad which was delicious, particularly with the Italian Pinot Grigio we selected. My partner had the rack of lamb and the only misstep of the evening was it was quite a bit too rare for his tastes. The server was really attentive and quickly took it back to the kitchen. It came back perfect. My steak was the special of the evening and it wasn't all that special. If I just rate the steak, it was a 3.5/5 due to gristle and extra fat although it was cooked almost perfectly. The chocolate mousse at Marx Bros is to die for ;-) and my partner really liked the maple chocolate tart. Make a reservation. The building can get a noisy, so if you want a bit more quiet space, ask to be seated in the smaller room on the east side. Be sure to take note of the interesting artwork.Overall a great GF dining experience.
