We enjoyed lunch at Edison in the fabulous Omni Grove Park Inn. The mountain vistas and service were both stellar. GF items are marked on menu. Food was good. Would recommend for a special occasion lunch

I tried their seafood buffet and had decent luck! They label what is gluten free and things like the salads and cold seafood are separate. I’d be careful when you get to the hot foods to ensure that the spoon can’t be used for something with gluten.

I ate at the Edison for dinner. There are a number of things listed as “gluten friendly” which made me nervous because that is not the same at “gluten free”. Since I didn’t want to take a major risk, I had the Caesar salad and Brussel sprouts. I didn’t love it but it seemed safe if you have to eat there.

The breakfast bar is amazing. Plenty of gluten free and items aren’t placed in a way that doesn’t invite cross contamination. Omlets, other eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, yogurt, chia pudding, muffin. Everything is labeled. The lobby bar area has good chicken wings (possible cross contamination) and great grilled cheese and a good cheese plate if you ask for no crackers. The Edison isn’t quite as gluten friendly as it first appears. The fried chicken that says gf is only turned into a grilled chicken. The Brussels sprouts are good, burger is pretty good, salmon was ok but over cooked.

Server very knowledgeable and accommodating. Gluten free items came out completely separated from non-GF items. Felt very comfortable eating here.

This is the third time I have dined at the Blue Ridge breakfast buffet. After I explained my needs, the chef offered to make me a safe breaking the back. I got an omelette, breakfast potatoes, and bacon, all gluten and dairy free, hot, and delicious. The coffee is great and they have almond milk <3! If I could give them 10 stars I would!

Brunch at Blue Ridge was worth every penny! Huge selection of gf items on the buffet and a chef actually gave me a personal tour to show me what I could eat! He also made me gf pancakes in the kitchen and my own gf toast. Exceptional customer service and delicious food! The view was nice too!

We stayed here with our 5 year old son who has celiac. Overall we were incredibly disappointed with the hotel's lack of info and willingness to accommodate his needs, so we ended up dining in town for every meal because there were numerous restaurants in downtown Asheville that were able to accommodate him, without difficulty. We tried to dine at View Sunset Terrace and were told that the only gluten free option they could prepare for my 5 year old was a $28 steak. Seriously? Don't waste your time and money dining at this hotel when there are so many celiac friendly restaurants in town.

I recently was here over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. And while they were incredibly busy they were very accommodating of allergies. At The View restaurant the waiter clearly noted which choices were gluten free, and after offering bread to my boyfriend (not gf) he went and located some udis toast even though I had told him what I had ordered was more than enough.

At Edison, I honestly did not expect much from looking at their menu on my phone. But upon speaking with a hostess she told me that they could make any sandwich or burger with gf bread. The fries here are not gf (which the waiter stated before I could ask) so I had a side salad instead. Once we were finished with our burgers, the waiter then mentioned a gf chocolate cake with caramel ice cream for dessert.

We also had breakfast at the Blue Ridge Buffet, they have a gluten free bread table and it has its own toaster. There were a few kinds of cereal as well. The hot food room things were pretty easily decipherable if it was gf or not (though I just stuck with an omelette)

Room service is also very accommodating, while they do not have gf bread to my knowledge they will leave it off entirely. I had no issues at all in the three days I stayed here. The staff was wonderful, and very accommodating for me. The hotel itself is an amazing place to stay as well. We arrived very late on thanksgiving night, and our room got an upgrade to a deluxe suite on the club level, at no additional cost to us.

As with anywhere, just ask the staff and they will let you know. I was pleasantly surprised at my stay here ( I had brought food just in case) But they do have items that are gf, or can be made to be gf that are not on the online menus.

Next we head down South to Asheville and The Grove Park Inn. Located in the space Horizons previously occupied at the resort, Vue 1913 blends American and French fare for a unique twist. The space offers a more casual feel than the previous occupant as well. The art deco décor combined with panoramic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains ensures quite a romantic setting. From local cheeses and house-made meats to smoked oysters and Kobe beef, gluten-free guests have plenty of delectable options to choose from! While a gluten-free menu is available upon request, be sure to inquire about any selection you're interested in. If it's feasible to modify the dish without sacrificing taste, the chef will certainly accommodate.
