No GF menu but staff was super helpful and my food was delish and I feel great.
Many Original Pancake House locations offer gluten free pancakes. Please speak to your server about taking the proper precautions to prevent cross contamination, if necessary.
Blueberry GF pancakes were pretty dry.
The gluten friendly pancakes are not celiac safe, they are made on the same grill. The omelette lacked flavor.

Fantastic food - Really fresh. Be warned they serve LARGE portions. Yelp ahead to get your name on the waitlist. We waited 45 minutes for breakfast and it was worth it.

My wife has celiac and this place is very knowledgeable about what had gluten and what didn't. She had the Denver omelet and GF pancakes with bananas walnuts and whipped cream. No issues at all after. Great place.

Best GF pancakes I've ever had hands down.

Went here while visiting California, after looking at many different places to eat I found The Original Pancake House and it seemed the best for celiac. I had the gluten free chocolate chip pancake and it was very well made and I could not tell if it was gluten free or not. The staff were all very kind and accommodating, they listened carefully and understood the precautions needed for celiac. I would recommend this restaurant but as always make sure to let the staff know if you have an allergy as they take it seriously. I didn't not feel ill afterwards.
Yes
There is NO gluten free menu. They claim they always clean the grill between every order. What that probably means is they scrape it off. It’s unlikely they are actually cleaning anything, including the utensils to turn the pancakes. That said, they do have gluten free pancake batter and can add strawberry or blueberry compote on top. Pancakes were decent and I didn’t get sick. I’m gluten/wheat sensitive and get headaches within 20 minutes of contact with wheat-if someone grilled bread then placed my chicken on the same grill I’ll know it. So I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re celiac. The staff is knowledgeable but they’re not going through any hoops for you. The manager said, ‘There is flour floating through the air in the kitchen.’

Great GF pancakes and knowledgeable staff. Come early though or be prepared to wait!
They told us they could clean the grill but not guarantee and they would try. They wouldn't change gloves even though I asked them too they refused. The pancakes were delicious but my daughter stopped because she started to feel sick. Honestly after watching them (we sat by the kitchen) I just don't see how it could be safe. The waitresses are touching food on the plate when they are carrying them so it just can't be safe. Really bummed bc it was so good just not safe.

I am sure their gf pancakes and waffles are great, however for anyone who has a true allergy, it needs to be known that they are made on the same grill with gluten containing products. For this reason my daughter and I chose not to eat here. We're sad to not be able to eat here, but would rather not deal with the consequences of the cross contamination.
Best gluten free pancakes/food I have ever eaten. I literally cried when I tasted the pancakes because they tasted so real
They were great, I had no problems. I'm super sensitive, ordered the corned beef hash and Pancakes and they were Delicious!
Yes
They have the best gluten free blue pancakes. They have a variety of pancakes that they will make gluten free
My family adored this restaurant and it will definitely be our go-to pre-Disneyland breakfast from now on. They are very up front about the risk of cross-contamination so if you are celiac or very sensitive use your own best judgement. My boys are not overly sensitive and had no adverse reactions. That being said, we loved it! My son could pick any specialty waffle or pancake off the menu. He was delighted!
Great little breakfast place. My daughter had Gluten free blueberry pancakes and she really liked them. They cook them on a separate grill to minimize contamination. She didn't get sick at all! We also ordered bacon and eggs, buttermilk pancakes and french crepes. All the food was delicious! It's a cute little place with not a lot of seating. We didn't have to wait because we went an hr after the parks opened. Price are reasonable servers were friendly and food was quick. I would totally recommend this place to anyone! And they accept credit cards now!
Great food. Best coffee too! Our 4 year old was able to eat gluten free pancakes! They were delicious and she loved them. It was nice to be able to have her order pancakes at a restaurant instead of just hash browns. Cozy little restaurant. Highly recommend! Just very busy but still good service.
cash only.....
They have gluten sensitive pancakes. This is not shown on their website or menu, but the server showed me several types of pancakes that can be made with this batter. They also have omelet & egg selections.

Got sick from the veggie sausages and it was completely awful. Not gluten free friendly.
The gluten-free pancakes were solid and appreciated. They have fresh blueberry syrup also which was terrific.

OK here's my honest review going to the Original Pancake House with Celiac. They have several gluten free options, which is super cool. They can make any pancake gluten free, however, I have no idea what ingredients are in their add ons for pancakes and honestly I'm not sure the wait staff fully knows either. Due to that lack of confidence, I ordered plain GF pancakes. They tasted excellent and I highly recommend. The caveat is how sensitive are you and how willing are you to take a legit chance in potentially getting glutened? They do cook the pancakes on a separate griddle, but they use the same cooking utensil as regular pancakes, so the potential is there for cross contamination. I would avoid the waffles because they are cooked in the same waffle iron. I took a chance on the pancakes and I think I will be safe. I would stay away from ANY sides as they are cooked on the same griddled as the gluten foods. If I get glutened I am confident it is because I did not ask the right questions related to meat prep BEFORE I took a bite of the ham I ordered. So if you decide to roll the dice on this one and hope against hope because you just want to have a "normal" meal out with your family because celiac is HARD, I would recommend sticking with straight up GF plain pancakes. Hope that helps you all! Have a good day!
