Not exciting food, but I got the beet salad with no cheese and it was very good, and I didn't get sick. The coffee is great.

I didn’t read the other reviews, until I was already sitting in the restaurant. But, it pretty much went the same as everyone else’s experience. The waiter was great. He was very knowledgeable and cared about our allergies. But the kitchen didn’t get anything right. We ordered an item w a gf bun and another item wo butter, (bc of dairy allergy). When the meal came out, it was not a gf bun and there was a chunk of butter. The waiter recognized the regular bun right away. They made a new meal. They also messed up the no onions request. So overall, the kitchen sucked. Three mistakes for just one customer. The food was great, staff was friendly, but if you have allergies, I would avoid.

I went there with my family and I ordered the breakfast sandwich with a gluten free bun, and someone else at my table ordered the same thing with a regular bun. When the food came, they gave me the normal sandwich and the other person a gluten free bun sandwich. Luckily, we caught it after I took two bites but I still got sick. I don’t recommend.

I arrived after lunch rush, spoke in detail to staff about ingredients and cross contamination, ordered a salad and got quite ill. Strongly recommend against if you have celiac. There are many excellent dining options in Pittsburgh. This just isn’t one of them.

called and asked if they had gluten free options, they said yes and talk to your waitress. the waitress clearly had no training, asked me if potatoes are gluten free and said that the breaded chicken was gluten free (it's not). ended up having to get a salad. would not recommend.
3 out of 4 visits resulted in very active reactions to cross contamination. 4th was a near miss. I try to give the benefit of the doubt...over and over and over.
Each time, the food tasted great but within 1 hour it was clear that the prep areas were not kept gluten free or that something was very off in what was recommended as GF. Very disappointing!
The 4th visit was for breakfast, I thought what could go wrong. First time round, my order was served with bread on the side, though I was very specific about the need for GF.
Every now and then we think about trying again because others speak so highly of it... but my daughter dissuades me from being "Poisoned at the Porch" again by making me recall the symptoms/reaction.
Recommended by our hotel as Gluten friendly. They are! Food is delicious, waiters and bar tenders are extremely friendly and helpful. I am gluten sensitive. The crispy potatoes share same fryer so if you're not celiac they are soooo yummy ! Great veggie burger and lamb app. Big portions. Others in my party were not GF and they loved the food too.
