It was nice to get fried chicken that was GF, but it was a bit over done and didn't have the greatest environment. They had several GF sides to choose from. I wouldn't go out of the way to visit again, but would definitely get take out to have a meal on the beach.

All I had was the gf chicken, I got it as carry out, and ate it for snacks/lunches while on vacation this past week. What a treat to be eating fried chicken!

Loved coming here for a while. Owner seems not to care about gf options as most of the sides that were gf now are not. Also, the place seems very dirty now

Friendly service. Great food. Big portions. Almost everything is gluten free except not the cornbread, Mac and cheese or the dessert.

Went here because of the great reviews. We were the only guests when we got there and I had a bad feeling from the start. Sure, chicken is gluten free and says on the menu but staff was unsure if the stars next to the sides meant they were gluten free (without checking with the kitchen they just decided they did). When we asked about ingredients in the collard greens they said one of them was Worcester sauce which I am sure isn’t gluten free. Anyway, my son didn’t get sick (waited the few hours it usually takes for him to get sick to write the review) but he also didn’t eat more than a few bites of his food. I guess it was ok glutenwise, but really didn’t get the feeling they knew what they were talking about.

It’s gluten-free heaven!! The fried chicken is WONDERFUL. Not “wonderful for gluten free” but truly wonderful. Not only is it GF, but it’s made with some kind of magic that keeps the crust crisp even after refrigeration. So delicious. My daughter and I ate take out twice in 5 days. All sides except Mac & cheese and the bread are GF. The place is kind of divey and the chicken’s slow to arrive, so take your patience and get ready for a fabulous dinner.

So impressed! I was able to get chicken, mashed potatoes, and coleslaw. It was Nima approved and absolutely delish. I didn’t get sick and my family (not Celiac) loved the food too. Our server Lenny was very cautious about everything and it was greatly appreciated.

I mean, GF fried chicken? I'm in! It was freshly made and came out piping hot. Waiter was super nice and made sure everything I ordered was gluten free. I only wish the chicken had a little more flavor, but it was crispy and juicy so I won't deduct a star for it. Also the price was definitely right.

This is hands down one of the best GF experiences we’ve ever had. The fried chicken was well worth the drive we made. We will be here every time we come back to Florida. The staff is VERY knowledgeable about gluten free and celiac and even took measures to make sure my daughter’s chicken touched nothing else without us asking. The non GF items were equally delicious and the food all reminds me of eating at my maw-maw’s in the south. Lenny and LeeAnna were both fabulous! Thanks so much!! We’ll be back many times!

Great service! Fried chicken was amazing. Several GF options. All their chicken is cooked GF. Small place nothing fancy. We drove an hour to eat here and it was worth it!

This fried chicken was such a special treat!! The girl working there as well as the kitchen staff was very informed about which sides I could and could not have. For example she told me the broccoli rice casserole was not safe because it had cream of mushroom soup in it. There were several sides that were safe and they are serious about CC. They also have gluten free steak fries made in the dedicated gf fryer but they are a secret (not on the menu). I definitely recommend going here if you miss good fried chicken.

The Roost's fried chicken is a blessing for celiacs. I was unsure about the safety of the sides - but who cares? Gluten-free fried chicken that is safe for celiacs. Ate here twice during a 5 day vacation!

The chicken is 100% gluten free, but our server wasn’t knowledgable about the sides. We were told to “order the ones you know don’t have gluten.” We had already driven out of the way to dine here, so we took a gamble and had the coleslaw and potato salad. Neither my mom (who has Celiac, too) or I got sick, but we probably won’t go back. We were so excited to try this place based on the reviews, bummed things didn't go as smoothly for us. I'd recommend ordering the chicken to go and making your own sides.

The best Gluten free fried chicken! They only have fried chicken (breast, legs, or thighs) that is made with rice flour so there is no risk of cross contamination. Multiple gf side options available. Extremely friendly staff. Server spent time and verified the sides and the cook came out to visit with everyone to make sure they were pleased. Other members of our party had no idea the chicken was gluten free. Best place for celiacs!

The broasted chicken was awesome. I also got collard greens and squash soufflé (apparently sometimes they make this with regular breadcrumbs, so be sure to ask). No gluten free bread options, but I didn't miss it. They have honey on the table, and I recommend supplementing your chicken with it!

The chicken was delicious - you would never know it's gluten free! My husband has Celiac and he had been craving fried chicken so badly. The staff were very friendly and incredibly accommodating. They answered every question and checked on anything they weren't sure about before answering with a guess. The are some sides with gluten but they are careful to point them out.

Wonderful GF "broasted" chicken. If you're craving GF fried chicken, you can get your fix here. While not a completely GF facility, the staff is extremely knowledgeable and will help you to have a safe and delicious experience!
