Yesterday, January 17, 2024, I had my first meal out after being diagnosed celiac. My husband and I always enjoyed the BanMih at the Roost but post diagnosis, I could not order that. The young woman at the register (sorry, I did not get her name, dark hair in low braids or pigtails) could not have been more helpful. I told her I was celiac, she made a recommendation and alerted the kitchen that this order was for a celiac. I was nervous but 24 hours later no illness and no evidence of cross-contamination. I tip my hat to The Roost. Thank you for taking care of me.

Amazing GF waffles. It’s exciting to go to a restaurant where more items are gluten free than not!

Best gluten-free waffles I’ve had! Dedicated gf waffle iron as well. Staff is very kind and appears to be knowledgeable on avoiding cross contamination.

On Thursday, October 12th, my wife and I were suggested to check out The Roost. We were told they have what’s gluten free on their menus which is really helpful. I stated that I have a gluten allergy, and then ordered an iced latte with oat milk, mocha and maple. I got the gluten free waffles with fruit. I ordered a side of butternut squash, cranberries and walnuts. I didn’t get glutened.
The location has two entrances, one with a step up and automatic door and one of the other side with two automatic doors and a ramp. The second door is more accessible for those who need mobility aids.

My son is celiac and this was always his go to place. About 3 weeks ago his was glutened after eating their delicious gf waffles. We're all sad about it. He used to meet friends there with confidence and feel safe. He's 15 and after how sick he got, I don't think he's willing to risk it. I'm hoping someone will write an updated review telling us it's updated it's protocols and that it's okay to go back!

I recently went to The Roost and unfortunately, got gluttoned. I tried one of their peanut butter gluten free cookies that is wrapped in plastic wrap and got sick after eating it. All I can think is there was cross contamination that made this happen. Wish it wasn't the case as the cafe is a great local spot.

Delicious fluffy GF waffles, which double as bread for sandwiches. Made on a dedicated waffle iron! Other GF options include smoothies and salads. Some baked goods too but these were in the same case as gluten containing items so I didn’t try those.

Probably the best gf waffles I’ve ever had! They also have a quiche of the day that’s always gluten free and occasional desserts like carrot cake. Great for brunch!

They have gluten-free waffles on a dedicated waffle iron! And use these waffles instead of bread for GF sandwiches.

Had their gluten free carrot cake last weekend and it’s the best I’ve ever had. I had some leftover which I shared with friends who don’t have Celiac and they loved it. Great baked goods!

Most amazing gf waffle egg sandwich w avocado and pico de gallo and amazing staff!

Unreal waffles (like everyone else had said, they make all of their waffles GF so there’s no cross contamination risk!). If you want a breakfast sandwich you can have it made with the waffles as bread, which I was suspicious of but after having their waffles this time I’ll be back for a sandwich. They also had many baked goods!

Lots of delicious GF goodies from the bakery and THE most delicious GF waffle. I ordered it with the fresh berries and yogurt. I am definitely coming back again!
The waffles are amazing!! They only make GF waffles so they are very safe. I had the savory option with Gorgonzola cheese and Granny Smith apples, would HIGHLY recommend! They also had GF granola options and one gf muffin option
Waffles gluten-free by default! They don't even have gluten-containing waffles as far as I know! That's bold.

I’ve gone here twice and will be a continued supporter once I move to the area! They have quite a few gluten free options including waffles and ice cream sandwiches! Nice atmosphere whether you’re there doing some computer work or meeting up with a friend.
The Roost is my new go to for EVERYTHING gluten free. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner and late night desserts. Living walking distance from them is dangerous with all the sweets I can eat. There’s cookies, waffles, cake, crackers, muffins and more. The drinks are really good too, highly recommend a night cap drink and dessert!
Many gluten free options. Waffles, cakes, cookies, sandwiches. Many teas and coffees, cute and funky atmosphere with many recycled chairs and tables made from old industrial stuff. :)

There are several good GF meal options here - stuff that is just naturally gluten-free. Hasn't made me sick.
Lots of great options here, including muffins, cake, cookies, GF granola, GF waffles and more. Very delicious!

While they do have gluten free options that are delicious, they're placed on the bottom shelf of the display case where they could be contaminated with falling crumbs. I personally haven't gotten sick, but I am always hesitant to get a slice of cake.
