The Rustic Spoon

We came to this little place for a Saturday brunch. It's really cute and the people are SO nice. They only had about four options for breakfast. This was disappointing but if you're hungry that is a moot point. For a small cafe/bistro place it was crazy loud. That was the biggest drawback for sure.

— Good

Brunch is always the hardest for me to find gluten free, so I’m very happy to have found The Rustic Spoon. It is a very popular, relatively new brunch place in Virginia Beach. The options are limited and I am not certain of the safety precautions. I ordered the Carnitas Hash (marked GF) with a scrambled egg instead of a sunny side up egg and it was so delicious. I was told the hash is naturally gluten free and the bacon is safe. My entire family (non GF) LOVED their food too. Great experience. Oh and you can make reservations online which is necessary if you don’t want to wait in a long line.
