Got a gluten reaction, assume cross contamination :( . The food was mediocre- I got the banana bread French toast which was dry, seedy, and overall not great. Would not recommend.

I love this place! It gives so many GF options and I have never gotten I’ll after eating there. Brings back a comfort of feeling “normal”!

We visited for breakfast. Staff was great and we didn’t get sick, but the food was just okay. The GF pancakes were probably the tastiest thing that my family ordered, they were good (and HUGE), but we’re not likely to go back again.

I came here twice while I was visiting salem. My hamburger with sweet potato fries with fabulous! I also had their fish and chips which were fresh and crunchy and everything you would wish. I had no reactions whatsoever. I will definitely return here the next time I'm in Salem.

My daughter is a celiac and we absolutely LOVE this place!! It’s so hard on little kids when there are so few things that are safe for them when eating out.
She almost cried she was so happy she could actually choose from a menu with so many “normal“ foods off the menu that she usually can’t have like, pancakes, hamburger with a bun!, FRENCH FRIES… we have eaten there many times now and our whole family LOVES it!!
My only criticism would be that they are only open for breakfast and lunch. I’d love to see them stay open for dinner as well but we will happily take what we can get!!

I got the hazelnut banana bread and it was tasty and a lot of food. Another celiac got chocolate chip pancakes, we had no reaction at all! Staff marked it as celiac and flagged it for us. Would definitely go back!

I proffered a burger on gluten-free bun and the sweet potato fries. Asked multiple times of everything was gluten free and they assured me that it was. It was delicious but when I got home I was the sickest I have ever been in My whole life. I got massively glutened.

Such a surprising find! A diner that offers GF and has altered menu items so anything fried is coated in GF ingredients so crocs can enjoy fries/onion rings/fried fish/etc.
Breakfast and lunch. Both has multiple options

I was looking forward to a safe, gluten free breakfast which is hard to find at restaurants here. The reviews reassured me so I gave it a try. I had good food and good service. My family enjoyed it very much and have gone back again. Unfortunately I did have a reaction to something I ate there so I won’t be going back. Perhaps it was the pancake. I am very sensitive to any gluten cross-contact in food.

This was one of the first places I visited when moving to Salem. They have a ton of gluten free options. Likewise, everything that goes in their fryer is GF. This includes chicken strips, onion rings, fries etc.
Their servers are attentive and will warn you if you order something that isn’t gf. This is my favorite cafe in Salem.

I ordered one of their omelets and it was amazing!! I did get toast with it but ended up not eating it just because I didn’t know if they shared a toaster and I was so full from the omelette and hash browns, my boyfriend just ended up eating the toast. I did not get sick after eating here āŗ

I was informed over the phone that they have a dedicated gluten free frier so they can do fries, chicken strips, onion rings, etc gluten free. The chicken strips were very yummy. Being gluten free, they were pretty soft for fried chicken, but yummy!

This is our go-to spot when we are in Salem. The staff has always been kind, friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious. Highly recommend the GF fish and chips.
I had the turkey bacon melt on GF bread and the fantastic GF onion rings. I didn't care for the rings' special sauce, but that's GF as well!
Service was very attentive and friendly. Very good experience overall.

Recommend. Busy place on a Sunday morning. Be sure to ask for gluten free menu. GF banana bread was very yummy. Chicken fried steak good, but gravy was a little 'different', almost a sweetness to it with a little kick of spiciness?? Staff VERY nice!!
Very not friendly to gluten intolerance. They gave me regular gravy when I was very specific. When I told them they said oh that's not gluten free (I had already eaten it) they gave me their gf gravy which ended up being a cheese and honey sauce? which was nothing like sausage gravy. They claimed white gravy was impossible to make gluten free. I told them um milk, corn starch, sasauge. Doesn't take a genius. I tried again with them and they just kept contaminating things and did not care. I tried to even just get a plain gluten burger for my kid and we sat there over an hour and they "forgot" about us.. even though we were right there being stared at. I do not trust anything that comes out of there! This is the worst experience being gf in 20 years I've had. And their onion rings are made from chick pea flour which will tell you how they haven't changed their recipes in 20 years

Straight up diner with good food. I've eaten here at least 4 times over the past few years and have never gotten sick. Yesterday I tried the onion rings and was blown away! They were perfect and made me sad I don't live closer. :)
I had the gluten free blueberry pancake. Very good and I did not get sick. I couldn't finish it so I took it to go but they have the paper togo boxes so I had to give the rest of my food away, didn't wanna risk it. Bring your own container for togo.

The staff was knowledgeable. Wrote Celiac on the ticket. All fried items are gluten-free! The onion rings were delicious!

Yummy chicken fingers, onion rings fish and chips. Smiles all around.
Had avocado omelette thing, was super good, but the do put a lot of cheese so if your not a cheese person you can ask for no cheese. The hash browns are really oily. But the service was pretty good. Definitely is more like small town diner food.

Best gluten free pancakes I’ve had since a place in Seattle. They were light and fluffy. Service was great. Can’t wait to go back for the onion rings which are suppose to be amazing.
This place is amazing. Wonderful food, and fully understood the cautions that must be taken with gluten free. I had now problem at all eating here. Onion Rings are incredible.

This place is great!! My breakfast was delicious! The staff is very knowledgeable about cross contamination. I can’t wait to go back.

Gluten free breading, dedicated fryer! I’m so happy and full! We had fish and chips and an order of onion rings just ‘cause...
They have onion rings!! The bun to the GF burgees was incredible and they have a dedicated fryer and the stag is knowledgable and attentive definitely a must try!
Dedicated fryers. Breading on the chicken strips was amazing and crunchy.

Celiac, no issues. Chicken fried steak and banana š bread š„Ŗ were divine except the gravy was WAY to sweet. Safe for celiacs, let them know you are when you arrive.

Usually hit Caffe 680 (same people)-- GF soups, sandwiches, and salads. Staff is super knowledgeable and the manager always makes sure to change gloves, re wash hands and equipment, and will work with me to adjust other dishes to be GF. I'm a pretty sensitive celiac and I've eaten here about 1-2x a week for a few months with no reaction. Asian chicken salad is especially good and both the cilantro and peanut dressings are safe. Awesome place for a quick lunch!

Have never had an issue here. So many nice gf choices that you can’t find anywhere else. My mom didn’t enjoy her burger one visit, but everything gf has been fabulous. Love the chicken fried steak and onion rings. Don’t eat there frequently or you’ll get fat. Lol

Multiple gluten free items, even breakfast which is hard to find. Fryer only used for gluten free foods. Onion rings and fries crispy and good. Bun for burger also tasted good. Server knowledgeable.

I love the staff, love the food but sometimes don't feel so great after eating here. unsure what the cause is though since the fryers are dedicated gf.... Usually end up taking a gluten enzyme to feel better after eating here so I stopped. My first 2 visits in 2016 weren't like that, just more recent visits.
What a find! What a treat! Loved the gf onion rings. We all had different sandwiches which were all delicious. No one got sick. Waitress was very knowledgeable about avoiding gluten. Staff all very nice. If I'm ever back in Salem I will return.
I have celiac disease and I went here twice with absolutely no problems. The chicken strips were absolutely delicious, the fryers are all dedicated gluten free, and the server was knowledgeable.

The hazelnut banana bread French toast is amazing! All their fried food is gluten free. Their gravy is gluten free. Now, if they just had gluten-free biscuits, I'd be in heaven.
Great fish and chips. Everything that goes in the deep fryers are gf. Onion rings were great also.
I was so excited for fried food, but the breading sluffed right off the onion rings and the fish was a super weird texture. I would try something else there, and trust that they understand GF. Would do on a pinch, not my first choice.
