The Schnitzel Haus

Had gluten free options but the place itself is a old run down Pizza Hut building that doesn’t feel clean and has only one working bathroom when we were there.

Staff was so friendly and very open to answering my questions about gluten free dishes. They can make everything on the menu except the spatzel gluten free! He made fresh gluten free potato pancakes which were amazing! It’s a small mom and pop diner but the food is pretty good, I could literally hear him grating fresh potatoes in the kitchen for the pancakes. I am extremely sensitive to cross contamination and did not get sick!

What a wonderful find - owner was waitress and cook and she fixed everything to order - great understanding of Gluten and even made a wonderful GF Crepe for us to celebrate our anniversary weekend

This was a really relaxed atmosphere. the owner was our waiter and answered my GF interrogation easily. I walked out feeling relaxed instead of fear of being glutened. I would go back again for their sauerkraut. yummy for my tummy.

Chef is great. Made to order never thought I would enjoy German food again. She made it possible.

Everything is made from scratch so all but a few things can be adapted. If you like German ethnic food it's a winner.
