Excellent visit! Our waitress was very knowledgeable, openly said if she didn’t know an answer, and readily asked the kitchen for more info if necessary. GF items were clearly marked on the menu. I felt very comfortable and was a happy camper to eat a delicious GF meal with my friends.

Horrible experience! The only thing I felt safe ordering was a house salad with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and eggs. I explained I needed gluten free for health reasons. The salad arrived with croutons on it so I sent it back. The waitress looked angry to have to take it back. I’m sure they took the croutons off and brought back the same salad so I didn’t eat it.so rude and unsafe!

This is my father’s favorite restaurant, so I decided to try it as a Celiac on his birthday. I asked our waitress, Lyn, if there were any options, or if I should just get a salad or the salad bar. (I took my own salad dressing in a purse cooler.) She was very knowledgeable about what I could have. She even told me that the German potatoes are fried in a dedicated cast iron skillet where they *only* cook those potatoes. She also advised that German potato salad was not a safe option because of the thickener in it. I got the Bockwurst plate with a side salad (no croutons, crackers, bread or dressing - again, I brought my own), sauerkraut & German potatoes. It was amazing & so filling. I asked for the staff to wash their hands/change gloves, and when my food came out, it had a toothpick in it to designate that it was mine, and the server said that they had cooked my food separately. I felt safe here, had zero sickness & will go back!

First it is important to know they do not have a GF menu. They do have options listed as being GF on the regular menu. The staff knows very little about GF food except to explain that it is labeled on the menu.
