The Schooner Restaurant & Lounge

I have both gluten and dairy intolerance, and the waitress and cook took care to see that I had a safe meal. I had their steelhead with veggies, which were excellent, and my husband loved his (not gluten free) fish and chips. This time of year be could sit on the patio with a lovely view. The cooking was so good, and our waitress pleasant and attentive. We look forward to returning one day.

My sister and I are both celiac and asked them to make us gluten free fried fish and it was delicious! It’s not marked on the menu but thanks to this app we saw it was an option and asked. Fun atmosphere and beautiful view!

Staff was knowledgeable and super helpful! According to staff, menu has gluten-free items marked with a ✌ sign and they were able to make g/f fish and chips. Had calimari too, both the calimari and fish were yummy. Server was confident in which dish was mine (partner ordered non g/f fish & chips) and made sure I understood when I ordered that fryer was shared, not dedicated. Will gladly eat there again.

We are there last night and it was great! They don’t have a dedicated GF menu and but knowledgeable on knowing their GF options and used allergy (celiac) precautions with my husbands dinner. They given went out of their way to pan fry his Oysters instead of putting them in the fryer. Definitely recommend, just let them know you are GF or Celiac!
