Review of The Shed Restaurant

Hey everyone… I had heard previously that the Shed in Sayville had been excellent. I decided to ahead to make sure it was actually gluten free and could understand cross contamination. On the phone call I asked if toasted buns were in contact with the gluten filled bread and how they cooked their fries. I regret to inform everyone it’s actually just “gluten friendly” the gf bread is toasted in the same toaster as the gluten bread and the fries are cross contaminated. But because they don’t do it at the same time they are stating it’s gluten free. PLEASE be warned, thank god I didn’t go last night and trusted my instinct to call ahead. I let the manager and chef know who told me this that is not in fact gluten free and they were getting people sick for no reason and that it’s incredibly harmful to say they are willing to accommodate gluten free
