I ordered the avacdo salad with grilled chicken and asked the waitress to let the cook know I had celiac disease and to take precautions making my salad. My waitress said "I don't even know what gluten free is". I explained. My salad came back with breaded chicken. I again explained I couldn't eat it and she brought it back. A new salad with grilled chicken was brought back out after 15 minutes. I have had severe stomach cramps and diarrhea since we left. I believe it's the owners responsibility to educate their staff on different allergies to foods. I understand they can't guarantee the food will be safe, but should take it seriously when a customer asks that the cooks avoid cross contamination in the kitchen.
