We ate the smothered fries and chilaquiles. Delicious. 🤤

Seemed safe. The servers convinced me the fryers were safe, chips were safe, sauces were safe, etc. I didn’t even make it out of the restaurant before the terrible stomach cramping and running to the bathroom every 5 mins started. Just got home and my stomach hurts sooo bad, never ending diarrhea and feeling like I’m going to vomit. I got the Chilequiles with green sauce. I would stay very far away from that meal at the very least, but honestly I will not eat here again.

This is probably the best Mexican food in Fort Collins. It tastes really good.
I spoke with the owner, Cesar. He said that their kitchen is full of flour and they do not have separate preparation areas. The deep fryer is used to deep fry wheat products. Cesar so told me that if the staff is notified someone has an allergy they will wipe off surfaces and the grill, but there is still a good chance of gluten contamination.
If you have a severe reaction skip this restaurant. If your reaction is slight then take the chance. 🙂 Most of their menu is gluten free!

Mixed feelings about this place (I have always gone and placed my order to go, as their website does not allow you to note if you have an allergy and to take precaution with cc procedures) .. the first time I went the lady who took my order was awesome. She let me know the nachos would be safe for me (celiac). I had carnitas nachos with a side of rice and she marked my order as having a gluten allergy, which I could see on my ticket for the bag. The past two times I have gone the girls have been pretty clueless as to what is gluten free; making me question the nachos. After explicitly trying to tell them I have celiac and just to mark my order as a gluten allergy, they have failed to do so and it’s not on my ticket (very frustrating because I know they are capable of doing so, IVE SEEN IT BEFORE!). That little allergy notation makes me feel so much more comfortable. Well, crossing my fingers I don’t get sick tonight.

Love this place! Bernice (owner) always makes us feel like family when my daughter and I go here. Her and the staff greet us like long lost family. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. The homemade chips are in a designated fryer. If you say you are celiac or just have a gluten sensitivity they will take even more measures to prevent any cross contamination. We’ve tried the tacos, enchiladas, and nachos so far. Everything is delicious! The tacos are street style and my favorite and a big hit with my 6 year old daughter. Agave margarita goes great with it!

Delicious!!! They don’t have a dedicated kitchen space but note celiac/gluten allergy when ordering and a chef has come out to confirm what practices I need before they start prepping food. They will clean off the section of the flat top they’re using and change gloves. Everything on the menu except flour tortillas and fried stuff can be GF. Super friendly and helpful staff and great authentic Mexican food!
